 The Democratic Republic of Yemet | A statement from the Yemetian Space Program Today on the 27th November 2021 at approximately 16:51, local time, the Aether 1 mission was successfully launched from the Aska Space Centre. With this missions three month delay to its launch, originally targeted for late August 2021, the rest of the Aether program has been adapted to this. Presuming that the current mission goes as planned Aether-2 is now slated for launch on the 4th December 2021. Aether-7 is still however on track to launch in mid-2022. Yemetian Space Program
Established: Minister of Home Affairs: Chief Executive: Headquarters: Launch Center: Budget (2018): Overview: The Yemetian Space Program (YSP) is the national Space Agency and Administrator for the Democratic Republic of Yemet. The program overseas the research, development and launching of government run space projects. History: The Program was established on the 9th June, 1976. It was the successor of the former Yemetian National Space Administration and absorbed the assets and personnel of the previous agency. Despite its creation the Program would not launch any major missions for around 25 years when it began preperations for its space station. In 1997 the agency launched its first crewed mission in 15 years and in 2003 it launched the first module of the Cosmo Space Station. Two furthed modules were added in 2004 and a fourth was installed in 2005. The station would become operational in 2006 when 3 astronauts spent 5 months on board the station before returning safely to Earth. By 2008 political instability and an economic crisis put the Programs future into uncertainty however the Government kept it running. When the Communist regime fell in 2013 and a newly elected Government took power the Program would once again face uncertainty but the new Government pledged its support towards the program and would increase funding on the condition it would develop a cheap commercial cargo launch vehicle. The agency would deliver on this in 2016 when it unveiled its Buzzard Rocket and it began its first commercial cargo flights the same year. In 2020 the Yemetian Space Program would become the lead program in the Fusean Space Agency and take the reigns of its first project, the Global Link Project. Using its Hawk Rocket a series of satellites would be placed into orbit to allow for easy Internet access and a precise Geographic Positioning System for the recovery of future launches. Later in 2021 the Government unveiled its plan to send a manned mission to the moon with the program and to develop a reusable shuttle craft for putting payloads into Low Strangereal Orbit. On the 30 April, 2021, the Program saw the successful static fire test of all four engines on its Titania-2 Rocket, designed for the Aether program. Aether 1 - November 27th 2021 - November 29th 2021 - The first mission of the program saw three astronauts, Commander Maxim Lavrov, Samuil Zakharov and Ludmil Novikov, placed into a Low Strangereal Orbit where they tested the command module and stayed in orbit for 2 days before returning to Strangereal. The mission was seen as a resounding success and confidence boost in the Aether Program. Aether 2 - December 4th 2021 - December 16th 2021 - The second mission of the program saw an un-manned command module launched into a Low Strangereal Orbit before being sent into a trans-lunar injection and stabilised into a Luna Orbit where it will stayed for 6 days conducting experiments and testing systems before it returned to Strangereal. This mission was another success for the program and was the first Yemetian object put into a luna orbit since the 1980's. Aether 3 - January 4th 2022 - The third mission of the program will see both the command module and luna lander placed into a Low Strangereal Orbit where the crew of three will attempt to dock the two craft. The luna lander will be specially modified for the mission so that it can return to the planet. Aether 4 - January 21st 2022 - The fourth mission will see a crew of four be sent into a luna orbit onboard the command module and then returned safely to Strangereal. Aether 5 - February 22nd 2022 - The fifth mission will see a crew of four be sent into a luna orbit with both the command module and the luna lander where they will the docking procedures of the future missions. Aether 6 - March 12th 2022 - The sixth mission will see a crew of four perform a "dress rehearsal" mission where they will perform the full mission up to the luna descent where they will lower down to 8km above the surface before returning to the command module. Aether 7 - May 16th 2022 - The seventh mission will see a crew of four attempt to become the first Yemetian's to land on the surface of the moon. Two astronauts will go down with the lander whilst two remain in the command module. The astronauts on the surface will spent one week on the moon before returning to the command module and ultimately Strangereal. Aether 8 - TBA - The eighth mission of the program and second surface mission. Aether 9 - TBA - The ninth mission of the program and third surface mission. This mission will see a driveable rover placed onto the surface two weeks before the mission. Aether 10 - TBA - The tenth mission of the program and fourth surface mission. Aether 11 - TBA - The eleventh mission of the program and fifth surface mission.
