I know Creeperopolis might have started using NSindex directly since Wikimedia commons deleted some files. I uploaded the Pepsi logo to index directly cuz I figured Wikimedia commons would copyright strike it. If there are any other good alternatives you know of we'd be glad to use them whenever possible.

I do not think that the RP Pepsi logo would violate copyright, but if I recall correctly, the Wikimedia Commons does not accept NationStates-related media if they are not going to be used on any of the Wikimedia projects on a regular basis.

However, I want to make it absolutely clear that I will not tolerate NSindex being used as a image host or backup service for another website, because it slows down our site significantly. The upload system exists for editors to illustrate articles on our site.

If Creeperopolis continues to upload extremely large images (as large as 2048 pixels on the longest side), the nation may be suspended from the project. If you want vector images, SVG is a better file format as it takes less disk space.

My wikimedia files have been fine thus far. Though some have reported issues. Anyway, we’ll make note of the size limit.

I am probably at fault for not explaining clearly, but I have outlined two main alternatives for image hosting/backup. I personally do not prefer cloud backups because of privacy issues. I blame Windows 10.

Yeah, sorry for uploading a large ass file. I'm kind of incompetent when it comes to this stuff.

We’ve only used uploads to my knowledge for the purpose of adding visuals/illustrations to our articles. I understand the size thing, but are you saying it’s fine for people to upload reasonable sizes as long as it’s for the articles on NSindex (and not other uses)?

A) Thats the largest file I have uploaded

B) I made sure I compressed the file so it wouldn't be as big

C) If Minoa actually had a concern with me I think he/she would bring it up and if he/she does then I will do what he/she says but for now there is no real concern except for you picking on me.
