I think we’ll be alright. If the admins want more politics being talked about, I’m fine with that. I just thought that talking politics would tire everyone since we probably already engage in political discussion a lot outside of NationStates.

Has anyone else heard the recent good news that Bolivian coup leader president Jeanine Anez has been arrested? She will finally face justice for her role in the coup, for defrauding the Bolivian people, and for her involvement in violent crackdowns on indigenous pro-MAS demonstrators.

She was found hiding in a box. Quite a long fall from her former residence in the Palacio Quemado.

It would be good if Bolivia can continue its positive changes under the MAS, seeing as the next biggest party are Socdems it shouldn't be too hard to keep going left. (to a point)

Luis Arce, the new socialist president of Bolivia, also returned the IMF loan the coup government had taken out while in power. Those IMF loans are tools of colonial imperialist exploitation. In only a few months it had already accrued millions of dollars in interest. So it is great to see the coup government's policies being reversed. It is true the second party in power refers to themselves as Social Democrats, but they are not like social democrats in other places as they mostly align with imperialist interests and have alliances with the right-wing, including coup leaders themselves. The terminology is relative based on the national context it exists in. Just like most "socialists" in American politics would hardly be considered socialist in many other countries.

Bolivia is one of those nations which give me hope for the future in these dark times.

I've been looking into Marxism-De Leonism recently. It sounds cool because it builds upon my already existing want for industrial unions to lead the revolution, as opposed to a vanguard of intellectuals (not bashing it, I can see the pro's of it, but I don't think it's necessary for the conditions of Australia). But it also shines a light onto the political front of socialism, in the need for a socialist party to lead the "revolution" in the political front. Obviously, political parties don't have a good track record trying to co-exist with neo-liberal parties; but I see De Leonism as a dual front fight against capitalism, one in the factories and the other in parliament. The only thing I see poopy with De Leonism/Syndicalsim is that trade unions have had it's lowest membership rate in a long time. If you's got anything to add of challenge; I'd be happy to hear :)

De-Leonism seems like the type of communism that would be most popular in the United States. I myself am a Marxist-Leninist. The vanguard isn't necessarily made up of political intellectuals. The only real requirement is class consciousness and dedication to the people. I believe in the dictatorship of the proletariat and I believe a powerful state is needed to defend developing socialist nations from foreign subversion as socialism is slowly developed in a colonized world with imperialist threats.

I hope that at this point, everyone recognizes that AOC and the 'Squad' are opportunistic liars, not socialists, and their purpose is to snuff out revolutionary energy by funneling people and their efforts into the Democratic Party (better called the Rockefeller Party). They give the Democrats a facelift and in turn we receive no material benefit.

Look at her telling us to double down in support of Democrats, claiming they've changed and have something to offer, then crapping all over Marxists:

Tell the people at the border and the people of Syria how much things have changed, AOC. Why don't you?

I could not agree more. Please do not give your money to these con artists! They are like modern televangelists trying to sell their lifestyle brand pyramid scheme. I lost all respect for AOC when I saw she met with Bolivian coup leaders/supporters and that she also openly supports the continued attempted coup in Venezuela. She also supports sanctions on China. When it comes to foreign policy or having any kind of strategy to get good things in congress done- the Squad and Co. are horrible.
