Kianhua wrote:"Our people have suffered enough of this meaningless conflict. In my opinion, that means that we have paid fairly regardless of how many more troops and civilians have died," the President said firmly.

Her icy stare hardens even further, a slight chill creeping into the already pallid air. "So, if it was a mistake to assault our nation in the first place, and the fair and allotted vengeance was dealt to you. Why did your nation decide to attack our lives and our soil for a second time? Clearly the lives of 25,000 were as worthless a lesson to your nation as the lives of 8,500 would be this time? What can you promise us that would come over the endless lives whose memories you trampled on when you stabbed the blade of war into our back for the second time?"

"In your own words, you've been dealt with fairly. Commit to peace and you should be glad to have so little taken from you as a few miles of border territory, unless you have something more enticing to offer our empire?"

"If the price of peace would be to give up a few miles of border territory, it will be enough for our people to no longer wish to take up arms against your nation. The ideological forces have been diminished over the past years, and the national consciousness gives a resounding "No" to any chance of war against you in the foreseeable future. That is the word of the Kianese people and at large, the United States, one that we as a nation wish to honor to its end." says the President.

Marianne wasn't really surprised it had gone so well. It was like this all the time, and she was sure it would be like this again in a decade when the fragile mind of the democracy voted in another headstrong politician. It was a troublesome thing to have a neighbor like this. "If I recall correctly, the last armistice had you promise such a thing. Your people seem to take this so lightly, what does it benefit you to attack a neighbor, withdraw after a beating, and return. This is the third time I deliver such a promise from the Kianese to the Empress, and I don't think it will cut it to leave it here..."

She paused, trailing off for a second, before a chilling smile crept over her face. "Well, I guess that wouldn't be a factor. My sweet niece would like some payment for the great pains you have cost this nation. Kianhua would be more then happy to pay for the economic damages they have incurred to our nation, right?"

"Yes, and we have a proposition for the payment based on our analysis of the damage we have caused and our ability to deliver payment." He signals for the economics minister to give him the folder which contained the specifics on the plan of reparations. The Speaker of the Assembly approaches the President, whispering something in his ear. He nods and goes back to his original position.

"We propose a reparation amount for economic damages from 1 trillion Seele or in equivalent 240 trillion Yeun to 3 trillion Seele or 740 trillion Yeun with annual interest of 5-10% compounded annually paid over the course of 30 years. This offer is open to negotiation and, as the Assembly Speaker has informed me, shall not be challenged by the legislature and, once signed with the treaty, shall be immediately ratified into law and have immunity from repeal or amendment by the Federal Assembly without consent of both parties." the President states, closing the folder.
