UAR Forces Engage Patriot Militia in Upstate Idaho

BOISE - A full-fledged firefight has broken out just north of Cour d'Alene as UAR forces acted on a tip that a Patriot training ground was in the area. Reports came in from disaffected locals that one landowner in the area had been attempting to recruit from the neighboring towns and villages to create a 'militia' to overthrow the Idahoan government, which prompted one resident to contact the state attorney general's office in response. UAR forces were dispatched this morning to confront the owner but were ambushed just outside the farmland by snipers, who killed three soldiers before being gunned down as well.

At this time, we believe there are roughly three dozen Patriot militants on the property, holed up in the two barns and farmhouse there. The UAR forces number nearly fifty soldiers and two armored personnel carriers, while the commanding officer has requested a helicopter gunship for support.

This is a developing story. We will report back as information becomes known.
