Thank you very much for the warm greetings. I have been inactive for months and now back. It seems Tanah Melayu was abandoned. So, what have I missed?

Wah Sumatra timur, an old timer of the region is back. Welcome back.

A few things happened in Tanah Melayu that led to its abandonment. The main reason was because the region was inactive for quite some. Just like Sumatra Timur, some of us went inactive for a few months. Those who were still around moved to a temporary home at ASEAN Region.

After some time, we felt that it doesn't have the same feel as our original home, Tanah Melayu. So we (the remaining active Tanah Melayu nations in ASEAN Region) decided to revive Tanah Melayu again. We had 2 options at the time; moving back to Tanah Melayu or create a new Tanah Melayu-based region. We decided to choose the second option as Tanah Melayu is founderless with Southeastern Malay CTEd making it open for raid.

And voila, here we are now, more active than ever. Briefly on what happened so far in Melayu Archipelago:

1) We have retained our old map with slight changes to it particularly in adding islands to make it an archipelago. Your old spot is still unoccupied. I can put you back on the old spot if you want to.

2) We had just concluded our 3rd Malay World Cup, now renamed as Melayu Archipelago Cup with Pauh Janggi as the new champion.

3) Some of the leaders of Melayu Archipelago nations are gathering at Ladonka, South East United now for talks on creating an intergovernmental association. However, the president of South East United passed away just as we are about to start the summit. We will see how that goes.

4) We are also about to start with 2 or 3 (netball, football and probably ice hockey) region-wide sport league. The sign-up for the football league is still open.

5) We also have Melayu Archipelago Journal now where nations in the region can update the whole region on what is happening in their nation.

That's pretty much it. Again, welcome back.

Hello everyone!
I'm completely new to the game. I found your (now - mine as well) region open and promissing, so I decided to join. Now I see there's some roleplaying - I'm especially excited with the map. But that means, you know each other well and have some customs to explore, so I have a few questions. I've seen the recent post by Eraman, welcoming Sumatra timur back, where there are some hints, but I'm still quite "out of context".
How active should one be in the region? (In case of getting in touch with others, contributing to role-play, etc.) Are there even some "customs" connected with that?
How is it usually going with those infamous raids? Do they affect Melayu Archipelago much? How to deal with them?
Is trhere a written history (maybe discussion) on the in-game history of the region? I'm interested if it was initially populated with a bunch of nations of people knowing or not knowing each other, having or not having any plans, how it evolved, etc.

We all know that PUB-G is the latest craze of the gaming market with total buys and downloads counting over 1Billion

However this is also causing a wave of addiction in youngsters and there are reports of people killing their parents over it.

What do you feel about the game?

Hello Noryakubbya. Welcome to Melayu Archipelago.

Noryakubbya wrote:How active should one be in the region? (In case of getting in touch with others, contributing to role-play, etc.) Are there even some "customs" connected with that?

Your activity in the region is entirely up to you. Some nations are very involved with the region and interact with each other almost everyday. Some nations log in every few days and only take part in what they are interested in. Some nations prefer to only answer issues and not get very involved with the region. All of that is acceptable and we welcome everyone. We believe that every nation should enjoy the game as they like.

Noryakubbya wrote:How is it usually going with those infamous raids? Do they affect Melayu Archipelago much? How to deal with them?

Melayu Archipelago focus more on worldbuilding and roleplay. We are not very involved with gameplay (except for the annual mini-game like Z-Day and N-Day), meaning that we don't do raid. I believe that the region is safe from raid because we have an active founder and the power of the WA delegate is limited.

Noryakubbya wrote:Is there a written history (maybe discussion) on the in-game history of the region? I'm interested if it was initially populated with a bunch of nations of people knowing or not knowing each other, having or not having any plans, how it evolved, etc.

We had discussions on shared history before. However, we are yet to write it down. We are still working on the master dispatch which will include the history of the region. As mentioned by Ziwana, do join our discord server. We are very active there. The link to our discord server is in the World Factbook Entry.
