What scares me is that if the market finds support on the 50 day or 100 day moving average, all the technicals are in place for the market to reach new highs when there is a strong possibility the US economy (and much of the global economy) enters a recession sometime in early 2023. | Sheepiania | Preamble: The history between the Liberty Democratic Alliance (LDA) and Democritus (henceforth collectively referred to as ‘the signatories’) is quite extensive. Democritus established embassies with The Royal Alliance II, the predecessor to the LDA, and helped mediate between its successor regions, eventually culminating in the LDA today. This treaty seeks to reaffirm existing bilateral relations and expand areas of joint cooperation in Game Created Events (GCEs) following informal arrangements made during the April 2022 World Trade Fair. Article I: Treaty Mechanics 1.1 As long as this treaty remains in effect the signatories will maintain embassies between both regions to allow the treaty to be properly executed. 1.2 This treaty does not have the power to override any previous laws or rules in either region. 1.3 Nothing in this Treaty is intended to encompass or otherwise be of relevance, significance, or obligating towards NationStates military gameplay known as 'raiding' and 'defending'. 1.4 Either signatory may withdraw from this treaty and render it void given 48 hours notice in accordance with their respective regional government procedures. 1.5 This treaty recognizes the procedures referenced in 1.4 as a 2/3 majority vote in LDA in the event that a parliamentary procedure act is not in place or a public decree issued by the Sun King of Democritus Article II: Pertaining to GCEs 2.1 GCEs are to be interpreted as being any official NationStates special event that involves game play. 2.2 Each signatory shall either designate a member, group of members, or integrate into a regional office a role that pertains to GCEs. 2.3 Those holding the GCE roles shall communicate with each other the status of their respective regions GCE preparedness, discuss lessons that have been learned in past GCEs, plan for upcoming GCEs, work on compatibility between regional strategies, and discuss any other relevant information. 2.4 With regards to the communications discussed above in 2.3 the times as follows are mandatory meeting times, unless decided by the designees that the time is unnecessary, with the exception of 2.4.1 and 2.4.2. 2.5 In the instance that either signatory finds itself in a state of distress during a GCE, this state of distress will be communicated to the other signatory's designees. 2.6 In the event that the regions find themselves on opposite sides of a GCE activity, unless agreed upon by both regions and properly communicated, the signatories should use all possible means to reconcile. If the aforementioned in 2.6 is not possible then the signatories shall refrain from taking direct action against or otherwise attacking each other, unless agreed upon by both regions. Article III: Other Instances 3.1 The signatories may communicate with their respective treaty partner at any time regarding potential for further support or collaboration. 3.2 If a nation that is a residing in one signatory is wanted for crimes in the other, or is believed to be a player on the regional ban list, the region should take all possible action to the extent of its law to prevent the nation from causing a disturbance in the other region 36 hours to debate and then vote on this. | |

The bill has been publicly available for some time, I agree, but did the members really got familiar with it? Well, I think most of them didn't read this huge wall of text (understandable), and some probably decided to read it in detail (partly or fully) only once it is officially introduced. Considering the huge importance of such an institutional bill, I understand the Chairman's decision to open a long debate time period.
