Great Railway of Laraniem Closed, at Vae Cloaci Border For unknown reasons, trains on the Great Railway of Laraniem have been brought to a halt at the first station in Vae Cloaca. Authorities have ordered that the trains go back the way they came, even though it is an awkward place to do so.
Koxor Tezu sends negotiators to Vae Cloaca to try to secure safe passage for trains. Meanwhile, construction of a second route which would have gone south to Phoenix city of fire has been diverted to pass north through Southern Hagston and provide an alternate route to Hagston.

Southern Hagstonian authorities are unhappy as they feel worried that Koxor only has the intention to build better access to the Kaonashia-controlled Southern Hagston which Sidranye and Koxor previously have wished to liberate. Therefore Kaonashia has proposed a deal, in exchange for approval and land use rights, all vehicles and goods will be checked by a strict border control with special scanners.
Sidramyean president DeBerg accepts this offer and wishes to elaborate that Sidramye has no intention of conquering Southern Hagston, or helping to overthrow the local government.
A bridge has begun construction between Indoinastan and Sidramye, as one in many moves hoping to improve relations with Indoinastan and increase trade.
Another violent killing of right-wing activists has occurred in the town of Kindtscher. 5 Activists were killed via hanging, and 12 more were injured. The victims include Karl Frond, Anna Bolin, Opal Genscht, Freidrich Smith, and Kainser Recht. This is following a string of violent attacks on conservatives in Sidramye. In other news Karl Mekka, popular socialist and gang member, has been arrested under accounts of... Animal abuse. The authorities have been trying to get him convicted for years and finally the situation rose up. He will serve 30 years in jail, the harshest punishment for animal abuse since 631.
The CEO of Koxor Tezu says he has every intention of agreeing to the deal, but the Minister for Foreign Affairs thinks otherwise. He assures Kaonashia that no further attempts will be made to liberate Southern Hagston in peacetime. However, he is concerned that the border checks will be used to enforce the strict laws of Kaonashia's authoritarian dictatorship, and worries that these laws may be infringing on human rights. He says that if he was let in to Southern Hagston (with a few bodyguards, of course, for safety) and allowed to move freely around the country, he may be able to confirm that no rights are being breached and that border checks will be safe.

Kaonashia assures the CEO that the border control check would only consist of screening using powerful scanning machines as long as individuals have the intention to only pass by and continue to Hagston, it's only if they choose to drive into actual Southern Hagston that other more strict laws are put into effect. Kaonashia says the Minister is welcome to visit South Hagston any day as long as he does not takes photos or record anything.
The Minister is doubtful that these laws have a benevolent intent, and that they are being used to commit crimes against the citizens of Southern Hagston. He accepts Kaonashia's kind offer to let him in to Southern Hagston, and assures that he will not take any physical photographs himself. He asks permission to compile a report to the government of Koxor after the visit. His only other question is this: What exactly will the border checks be screening for?
Kaonashia responds with saying that we will screening for any military equipment, guns, drugs, lethal poisons or chemicals, wanted criminals, void, bombs or any items that could be used to disrupt the public order or start an invasion.
So the normal border checks, then? The Minister for Foreign Affairs gives the CEO the go-ahead to build the remaining line into Southern Hagston. It will be completed within a few days. Update: The Minister's plane has landed at Towcester Airport, Southern Hagston. He will look around the country to determine its human rights value and return to Koxor in around three days.
