"It also doesnt help that this bed is short as anything."

Indeed, the average Azulakassian was in no way similar to the tall stature of the average Aerlanican (notwithstanding Roodems, who averaged around five feet and ten inches in height). The end result was Sarah's legs hanging a good portion off the edge of the hospital bed, with a major problem being that no larger bed could be supplied.

Her face was somewhat wrinkled but not terribly so - indeed, as elderly witches went, she seemed to have retained more youth and beauty into her old age. She also had a certain hardness about her, a cold look in her eyes that meant business by-the-books. When the doctor arrives, he does so with a knocking on the door frame with walking stick.

(This one might be disturbing, discretion is advised.)

Delegata smiled.
"I guess you enjoy the view. That's fine for now I suppose."
She led Iblion and the floating form of Gatraka to an open area, where Delegata quickly formed a simple gray box room for herself and Gatraka, leaving Iblion to stay outside and watch through the walls as no human could.

Inside, Delegata created a simple wooden chair and sat Gatraka down in it. Delegata took the form of a young witch apprentice - the appearance she had as a girl around fifteen years old. The walls, ceiling, and floor blurred a bit with illusory magic. Gatraka awoke and looked around for a moment before turning to Delegata.
"Delegata? What's going on? Why have you taken that form?"
Delegata looked at Gatraka and began to cry.
"Oh, Master Gatraka, please don't take him away!"
Delegata rushed forward and clung desperately at Gatraka's leg, begging.
Gatraka was confused a bit, and Iblion realized that Delegata was psychically messing with Gatraka's perception of reality. Gatraka caught up to the illusion and seemingly began to play her part in it.
"...Now now. You know the rules, Apprentice Delegata. We cannot have unsanctioned relationships forming between us and wizards. You know the rules."
"Oh, but please, please do not separate me from him! I promise that I won't let it get in the way of my duties."
"Rules are rules, Apprentice. You have not been given permission."
"Please! Give us permission! I'll do anything! Anything at all!"
"That's not how it works, and you know it."
As Delegata continued to beg and plead, her form slowly changed from the idyllic child. Her fingernails slowly lengthened and sharpened into black claws that began to dig into Gatraka's skin. The tears turned to blood. The tips of her dark hair turned into tiny needles and barbs that poked at scratched at Gatraka. Gatraka began to notice and tried to push Delegata away.
"Delegata...stop...are you alright?"
Delegata looked up at Gatraka, revealing solid black eyes with bloodred irises, with blood-tear stains running down her cheeks. The blood in her veins turned black and Delegata slowly turned into something from a nightmare.
"Am I alright? Do you think I am alright?"
Delegata slowly stood up.
"Do you know how it feels to have what you love ripped away from you like that? Do you?"
A knife appeared in Delegata's clawed hand.
"Here, let me show you how it felt."
Delegata lifted the knife and placed the tip against the bottom left of Gatraka's ribcage. Delegata began to push, and the knife began to cut. Gatraka screamed in pain, but Delegata's face remained filled with hatred as the knife pierced ever deeper, making its way to Gatraka's heart. Gatraka's screams continued, as she was kept not only alive but fully conscious by Delegata as the knife went through Gatraka's heart. She could feel the blade as her heart continued to pound against it, her severed diaphragm continuing to push and pull against Delegata's hand. Delegata twisted the blade a bit and kept the blade inserted for several minutes before slowly removing it.
Gatraka managed to collect herself and stop screaming in pain, though the pain never stopped. Delegata was merely making sure that Gatraka could hear her. Delegata's form also changed, growing a few years older, slowly, until she looked to be nearly the age that she usually looked.
"Of course, you didn't go for his heart when you killed him, did you? No, you didn't. Do you remember what you did with this blade?
Delegata held up the knife to Gatraka indicatively. The knife had shifted to a longer blade, a machete of sorts. Delegata leaned in closer.
"DO YOU!? I WANT TO HEAR YOU SAY IT!"
Gatraka nodded.
"I...I...I killed him...slit his throat..."
"SLIT HIS THROAT!? NO, YOU DIDN'T HOLD BACK LIKE THAT. LET ME REMIND YOU JUST WHAT YOU DID TO HIM."
With a quick motion, Delegata swung the blade and decapitated Gatraka. Her head dropped to the floor, but she was still alive.
"YOU KILLED HIM RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO. NOW THERE IS NOTHING THAT I CANNOT DO, NOTHING THAT I WILL NOT DO..."
Delegata reached out with her left hand, and the head flew up into her grasp. Gatraka looked into Delegata's dark eyes with immense fear.
"...EXCEPT LET YOU DIE."
Delegata placed the head back on the neck, roughly reattaching it.
"No...you shall live as long as I do. You shall watch the world burn because of your actions. But that is later. First there is one last crime you must be reminded of."
Delegata shifted form once more to the age that Iblion knew her as.
"Do you know what it is like to be placed within a Sorcerer Orb? Of course you don't. You couldn't. You never will. But I will get you close enough."
Gatraka lifted into the air, hovering a foot above the ground, and the chair disappeared. Delegata began to slowly walk in a circle around Getraka. Nothing appeared to be happening, but as Gatraka began to scream again, Iblion could see what was happening. Starting at the fingertips and toes, and moving slowly towards Gatraka's head, Gatraka's insides were being pulverized and mixed about as though put into a blender. Her skin, slowly becoming just a bag for the mush, began to burn and peel.

It was over after a few minutes, and Delegata restored Gatraka to her normal self, but forced her to relive those moments over and over. The screams continued as Delegata walked through the wall to Iblion to see his reaction.

Aerlanica wrote:~snip~

The railguns' positions and likely locations are designated as planned targets for artillery strike once the invasion begins. They are also linked into the fleet's targeting systems, just in case the emplacements prove too hardened for ground-based artillery to penetrate.

Hoping to coordinate all of their advantages into one location, High Command asks for an overview of the Grendel Plains. If the storms there are not remarkably bad and the land is not too much worse than the majority of Aerlanican land, that could provide the perfect location for their initial strike. On the off chance that the acid storms in that region of Aerlanica are even less predictable and vastly more destructive than usual, Rathoria could reduce the number of infantry used in the assault and issue them all protections against the weather.

Seeing as many of the frantic explosions of combat around the planet are winding down, military preparations across Rathorian-controlled lands will be more noticeable soon. High Command wants to launch their attack before Madylin Jones is able to determine their intent and build up a defense, and as such they readily agree with the rebels' idea. They dispatch a swift corvette with an envoy out to the same Aerlanican colony world they had the supplies delivered to a little over a month ago.

The envoy has instructions to inform the Federation of Rathoria's liberation plans, and to ask whether they would be willing to coordinate.

"Perfect...lets let her simmer for a moment; i don't want to spoil the sound of her screams...besides, I daresay we should talk with the Royal Emperor...but after that..."

Iblion sunk his nails into her exposed flesh, they pierced, but instead of pain and fear a shock of pleasure ran across her spine as the hairs on her neck pricked upwards.

"...we can listen to those screams some more."

Sarah paused, before she shifted to sit crossed legged on the hospital bed. Her IV drip still hanging from her arm due to her relative lack of sustinence. She pursed her lips.

"I'm..."

She grimaced as she looked to the side.

"Take your time," Dr. Arapan said, "just try to be honest to yourself."

Sarah paused.
"I'm...I...I feel like...I feel like i've...just no..." A pause, "...I...i'm not going ok...I...my home...is gone and, i think all my friends are dead and i don't have a nation anymore and i feel like everyone here is...just...doesnt want me to be here...and they want me to leave but i don't have a home and i don't have a life and i don't have a future and i just..."

She curled up, tears forming in her eyes.
"I just want a life...i just want a peaceful life...but i feel...like i can't...like the universe doesnt want me to have that..."

She wiped the tears away.
"Sorry, I...i know...it's your job but you probably didn't want to see some...tall, depressed bitch winge about the world."

"Well before the Greenvale tea fields were torched by several dozen tonnes of liquid fire, shortly followed by the Mind-Stalker infestations i did enjoy me a jolly good cup of Riverreach Brown...but, since any form of plant life in Aerlanica is all but deceased, i have to suffice with Kansan Royal Brew, from North south kansas. Not that it's bad, the venerable Queen Kiki is a lovely woman, you should meet her; she's very kind."

He shrugged.
"I like my tea with a dollop of milk as well..."

He smiled.
"Good tea, love tea, ruining tea is a foolish endeavour."

Jonathan turned to Chiara.
"I apologise if i am making you uncomfortable; i know you hate any individual with a member-down-stairs for reasons i probably will never know about."

Katrina looked in shock. For a few moments Celeste kicked herself mentally, thinking that she just alienated-

"Yo that's dope as f%$#." Katrina said with a slowly growing smile. It was followed by a giggle. She awkwardly gestured to the bodysuit.

"Um...well...um...may i? Well i'll need some help; i've never worn one before..."

Rathoria wrote:The railguns' positions and likely locations are designated as planned targets for artillery strike once the invasion begins.

The Grendel Plains dominate northern Grendely. They are a thin strip of land that moves from the central-western border of the Aerlanican mountains and moves east before it hits the Palaric corridors. It borders the Raynes Wasteland to the northwest, the Greenvale Deadzone to the north east, the Palaric corridors to the west and the Roodem Valley and Grendel Valleys to the south. It is a vast open expanse of land, not too dissimilar to the Hartian Plains in the Far East, the only difference is that the Grendel Plains are dominated with both road and rail infrastructure thanks to the highly industrial history of the Grendel ethnic group. Furthermore, while most Grendel are staunch Monarchists disatisfied with the Democratic institutions of the Aerlanican Federation, they in no way even consider accepting a foreign monarch; regional support from what little population remains will be high.

Problem; the regional drought. There has not been an acid rainstorm in over a year across western Aerlanica, and no forecasts predict them in some times; they will have to play the waiting game, which means either demobilising temporarily, or making a directed effort to conceal their military build up.

She sighed, sitting down and looking at Spencer.

"Speaking of Aerlanica...i feel sorry for Spencer; it appears everyone sees him as some key to victory in some way, shape or form."

Silence. Before Witta turned to Alena.

"Do you believe it?"

"My dearest apologies, may you repeat that?"

"Do you believe that Spencer is the method to victory." Witta asked.

Alena pursed her lips, then turned to Spencer.

"I...i believe there are various avenues to solving the Iblion Question...and yes, i would be lying if i said i didn't have some part of me seeing Spencer as some...avenue to our victory."

"I only see our options as somehow getting Azerian back, or Spencer. But even then..."
Witta paused for a second.
"I wonder if a Sorcerer Orb would be able to contain Iblion...I suppose it should, if we have something powerful enough to contain him...I think, again, it would come down to either Azerian or Spencer."

Alena sighed and blushed slightly. However the colour quickly faded.
"Whatever they have done to him, it will require some work to take fix it."

She gestued to Spencer.

"Spencer, for obvious reasons, is out of action."

Iblion giggled before his hands moved up from her chest to just around her neck. Once again, his nails pierced flesh, but this time they brought a slight burning sensation. He began to draw close to her ear, as he always did when his honeyed and invigorating tones spouted sweet nothings and intoxicating fantasies from his silver tongue.

"How should we make permanent our bond? How shall we seal our pact forever...how shall we join ourselves in..." he smirked slightly before he continued, "...unholy matrimony."

The nails sunk slightly deeper.
