In a way they have (look at all their crimes). And in another way they can't because they've had decades of very low fertility rates. That's why in mere three months they've traveled the path that took Nazi Germany five and a half years and officially created Volksturm. Well, they don't call it that, but they've just raised maximum age for soldiers from 40 to 60. So wait for Russian grandpas on the frontline. And they seem to be running of tanks too, as a train has been spotted deep inside Russian occupied area of Ukraine carrying T-62s (that tank was designed during the Eisenhower presidency and was produced until 1975). Although I don't know, maybe they just want to give those grandpas tanks they are familiar with, since you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
I mean if I had to Fight id prefer a Early 2000's M16 or M4A1 than whatever the Hell they are giving out today, Yes I Know the "Tacticool" Version They use today is more "Efficient" and "Modular" but I Am Familiar with the Iraq Era Version. also Have They Started to Conscript the Literal Asiatic Barbarians within their Borders ? I'd Find a bunch of Horse Mounted Huns more Intimidating then some 18 Year old Kid or a 60 Year old Relic.
Dunlando and The anarcho-capitalist lands of kool-aid
A large proportion of their troops are Asiatic because ethnic Russians have lower fertility rates than many ethnic minorities. Plus, a much higher proportion of young ethnic Russians live in big cities and especially in Moscow and St.-Pete. The government largely avoids sending them to war because their families are much likelier to cause trouble. Also, ethnic minorities have fewer economic opportunities and therefore are more susceptible to offers to sign a contract. Officially they send only contract soldiers to war, not conscripts, although in reality it ain't so.
hmm... when do you think the Train Mounted Artillery the Katyusha's and T-34s are Coming out of the Museums ? I think Russia's Only Chance for "Victory" is to start Terror Bombing of and Indiscriminate Shelling of Ukrainian Cities.
They've been doing that from the start. Incidentally, here's the evolution of Ukrainians' opinion of Russia: https://twitter.com/olliecarroll/status/1529748507866935296
I forgot to comment on the train mounted artillery. They actually rolled out an armored train out of Crimea in the first days of the war. Last week it was derailed by Ukrainian guerillas. I guess, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Have you ever played hearts of iron ? Well assuming you have, or are at least aware of it, that sounds like random event. Also assuming this war doesn't esculate into thermal nuclear war, or that we are not all Murderd by a Angry A.I. In About 80 years their Will be grand Strategy Games set right now, with people wasting countless hours playing as Putin trying to find ways to Win this war.
Many times. My favorite game along with Civ. I played it more competently than Russian generals fight this war, if I may say so myself. E.g. I always established complete air domination over any area of ground operations (never a single org or strength point lost to enemy air!). Always local superiority with armored/mechanized armies followed by second echelon of motorized infantry for clean up and holding territory. And, of course, logistics above all.
You might find a tour of Central and South America, and especially the Caribbean interesting. Spain and Portugal were responsible for 95% of the African slave trade in the western hemisphere. The cultures get more interesting in many locales where governorship continuously shifted back and forth over the centuries between Spanish, French, English, and Dutch. Florida and Louisiana in the US are very colorful in this respect as their histories track through the conflicts of the native and various colonial powers that have occupied and ruled them over time.
The only Latinos speaking Spanish I saw when visiting Brazil was when crossing over into Argentina and Paraguay (I was at the junction of the three borders where the Iguaçu River flows into the Parana River).
Iuse Divisions of Artillery and mixed with AA and AT guns (with a few Infantry regiments and i place them at behind my assault force and I also have them Defend key choke points. I use Tanks (with AA tank destroyer and SPG variants mixed in) with Mechanized infantry and truck towed Artillery as my Assault Force. Sometimes I'll toss a few Airborne Unite behind enemy lines and then have them come up form the enemy form behind. As for the Air war I focus on superiority interception. And Close Air support. As for the Navy i useally have some Battleships and Submarines parked off my coast line.
I've been to Mexico in North America and Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay in South America. But I've never been to Vladivostok. San Francisco is similar though (topographically) but much better than Vladivostok. So I don't think I missed much by skipping Vladivostok.
crap, how do I keep accidentally doing this stuff? I accidentally made my country into a autocracy at one point. Now I accidentally made it socialist lmao.
