Battle over Csatorna
With the city of Csatorna refusing to surrender, the Bakyernian Naval Forces have decided to launch a series of bombardments using cruise missiles. South of the city, the contingent of the Bakyernian forces is already arriving, with skirmishes and gunfights occurring in the outskirts and villages surrounding the city of Csatorna.
Over the last few days the Bakyernian military has been on a trail towards the city of Csatorna, pointing out to its strategic important for both the coalition and Plagyorasia, serving as a port where additional reinforcements from Bakyern can arrive and preventing the Plagyorasians from receiving any more equipment and support from the outside via sea. The contingent of the Bakyernian military has already been seeing combat before reaching the city, although it has not put stress on the invading military as no casualties have been reported as of now.
Marines still in warships and amphibious assault ships off shore, waiting for Csatorna to be secured or for the city's defenses (if any) to be decimated over bombardment from cruiser missiles. Overall, the war is definitely in the coalition's favor.

While the Liquor Transport Law was enacted in the 1950s, banning Inter-Island liquor transport the San Calian government has keep the law enacted to this day. A few of the islands don't actually have the law enforced, Solana Island and San Kureon Island still enforce the law heavily.

19th, April, 9 - " Popular Polarization "
The fracture is not so much political as it is integral, since there are factions within the revolutionary government itself that were not entirely in favor of the implementation of the Karionte system, nor do they seem to favor it now. This reveals a strong social division in the political lens of the nation, which is divided between two basic but opposite ideas that have been shown to be manifested in a real way, as the recent protests have shown.
Popular polarization is already a fact and it is only presenting its first heads, it is a matter of time for the fracture to be irreparable and the division to become resentment and something more than exchanges of words. It is because of this that the revolutionary government has offered and expanded the measures of consensus and dialogue between ideas within the party, in order to calm the exalted population in a desperate attempt to control the situation.
19th, April, 3 - " A Missing Factor "
It is the duty of justice, and especially of the security and investigation services, to find, arrest and prosecute the businessman, otherwise, the revolutionary government believes that this could destabilize the nation, and also influence the view of the population about the capacity of the security and justice forces. It is for this very reason that priority has been raised, and various investigation and investigation teams have been dispatched to track down the fugitive in hopes of capturing him before it is too late.
The only clues that the investigators have is the flight of the businessman along with his family and a private security group, the same used throughout all non-public property or open to the public eye of the company. These apparently took a flight in a jet owned by the businessman, in an aerodrome, owned by the businessman controlled by; You guessed it, the security of the businessman. The luggage of the flight is still unknown, as the number of people in it, not to mention its destination.

The Federal Republic of Foxomexra
Conflict between Foxomexra and the Hereali people dates back to 1728 - the First Hereali War, between the Empire of Foxomexra and the Empire of Hereal. Countless skirmishes and many conflicts took place between the two, until the Empire of Hereal was dissolved and incorporated into Foxomexra as a subservient Kingdom in 1821. Under Foxomexran rule, the Hereali people faced harsh oppression and persecution, causing hostilities to erupt frequently, as seen during the Foxomexran Revolution in 1843, the Eastern War in 1898, the 1924 Hereali Revolt, numerous small insurgent activities throughout the 20th century, and most recently the 2017 Hereali Insurrection.
The ongoing Hereali Insurrection officially began on 13 June 2017, the centennial of the passage of the Baum Resolution which resulted in the forced emigration of approximately 150,000 ethnic Herealis. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 358 people, while displacing around 13,000.
What's Going on Now
While the Federal government sent several thousand personnel to the Province of Hereal to support the local government in early 2020, insurgent activity escalated further for much of the year. It was not until October that insurgent attacks had declined to the point they were at prior to the arrival of Federal troops. In February of 2021, the Provincial government of Hereal offered an invitation to insurgent leaders to negotiate an end to hostilities. Although initially optimistic, the insurgent demands for complete independence from the Province were considered unacceptable and as a result talks broke down.
Now, with hostile action between the two sides having stagnated, Governor Kole Hurtolk has extended once again an invitation for negotiations and has declared that this time, there will be compromise and a deal made. While many are hopeful to put the four year conflict to an end, there are those - especially in the Federal government - in disagreement about the idea of "allowing insurrectionists to walk free." Regardless of the wishes of others in government, the Foxomexran Constitution is clear that the right to negotiate with the insurrectionists is firmly in the hands of the Province of Hereal. Whether they can do so successfully remains to be seen.

Embattled Prime Minister Calls Snap Poll
Gotland will go to the polls for the third time in four years this June after embattled Prime Minister Johanna Swaan finally called time on a troubled term. The announcement came after weeks of rising tensions within – and allegations of corruption and cover-up by – her left-of-centre coalition.
Speaking on the steps of the PM's official residence in Carlsborg this morning, Swaan said, "This is Gotland's chance to elect a government that works: not just for its own sake but also for the people. My party will be that government."
Appointed 2 days before her 40th birthday, Swaan unexpectedly became the youngest prime minister in more than a century when her centrist Liberal Democratic Party emerged the second-largest party at the inconclusive 2019 election. After the longest government formation talks in history, she managed to cobble together a fractured coalition of socialists, liberals, greens, and a regional separatist party; a so called "traffic light coalition". However, inexperience and internal division soon came to bear and the government stumbled from scandal to scandal.
In March 2020 – just one month into office – the Prime Minister was informed that her regional development minister had serious allegations of corruption and inappropriate personal behaviour against him. What happened thereafter depends on what side of the political divide you stand on.
Supporters of the PM say she ordered an investigation, ensuring names and details were kept private to ensure a fair outcome. Opponents of the PM say she – deliberately or otherwise – engineered a cover-up. Either way, the allegations – and the minister in question – trundled on until they were explosively revealed in November last year by the Leader of the Opposition. By that time Swaan said she had "forgot" various details. Notes from her assistants suggested otherwise. For the first time since it took office, the fractured governing coalition managed to find unity in voting down a parliamentary enquiry.
The Leader of the Opposition is Stefan Schriever, leader of the centre-right (sometimes labelled populist) Party for Freedom and Democracy. By some way PFD emerged the largest party at the previous election but thanks to Swaan, Schriever was – for a second time – denied the chance to be prime minister. Charismatic, witty, with some of the best oration skills of his generation, Schriever has carried his party from outsider status to "government in waiting" since he became leader in 2014. He is dubbed by supporters and opponents alike as "the most feared man in Gotland". His performances at the leadership debates in 2015 and 2019 are hailed by political pundits as artistry in political assassination. However, his skills on the campaign trail couldn't overcome parliamentary math and, with the numbers (just) on her side, Swaan pipped him to the post for PM. Now, just 18 months on, he'll get a third chance at the top job.
Unlikely to be a candidate for prime minister will be Swaan herself. From highs of 25% in February 2020, her centrist Liberal Democratic Party is now polling in single digits. Some polls predict Swaan will not return to parliament, let alone the premiership. Meanwhile, Schriever's PFD continues to rise unabated in the polls. His party is polling at highs unseen for 40 years; some even predict single-party government. Schriever and his PFD are benefiting from voters alienated by 18 months of turmoil as well as those still angered about the "grand coalition" (between the main centre-right People's Party and the main centre-left Labour Party) of 2017–19.
Gotland's parliament, Rieksdag, has 150 seats elected by open party-list proportional representation. The election will take place on Wednesday 9 June.

Layfetian Government Seeks Foreign Public Investors For Infrastructure Project
Congress almost unanimously passed a resolution calling on Executive Minister Spencer Hastings to seek foreign public investors in a nearly 4.5 billion dollar infrastructure project. In conjunction with the Department of Transportation, the city of Cartwright, and the National Aviation and Satellite Administration, the government is asking for investments into expanding and improving Cartwright International Airport to improve international travel and access to the International Court and other international-owned or operated facilities in the city. Known as Layfet's "Hub of Diplomacy" Cartwright has seen an explosion of international travel ever since the IC Complex was built in 1995. The city's small airport is already overwhelmed and may be even more so if projections of international travel continue to rise are correct. Cartwirght also expects more travel after the completion of the International Diplomatic Tower (basically just a fancy place for diplomats to meet on neutral ground) is completed next month.
EM Hastings plans on sending out official executive investment bids later this week.
