Hello.

Prime Minister Jack Layton invites all leaders of the region to a general regional economic forum in Kataro. The focus would be on greater economic growth, sustainable interregional cooperation and improvement of lives.

Chancellor Kelvin S. Marquardt graciously accepts Swindenland's invitation. We hope this forum can help establish greater bonds between member nations.

OOC: Hi everyone! You might have noticed the region is a little bit "inactive" and not as RP-prevalent as you'd like it to be.
That is partly due to me being very busy with schoolwork and such, but I hope this will change in the near future.

I have plans for where to take ALDN henceforth (I know, it's an oldfashioned word, but it fits!). They include;

- Holding elections for the following administrative positions within the region;
- Secretary General (General Authority)
- Ambassador General (Embassies and Communications)
- Secretary of the Interior (Polls and Appearance)
- Secretary of Regional Security (Border Control)

Of course, the functions of the positions are subject to change.
If you want to run for office, please reply to this post, or send me a telegram.
I plan to make a poll for every position in the Administration.

The Secretary General is the executive officer of the region, in charge of the overall day-to-day operations and has the last say in administrative matters.

The Ambassador General is the region's foremost representative to the rest of the World, handling the establishment of embassies, and maintaining foreign relations as well.

The Secretary of Interior is in charge of the region's internal affairs, handling elections, referendums, and implementations of policies.

The Secretary of Regional Security makes sure our borders are well protected and ejects any neer-do-wells from the region.

It has to be stated, that this ought to be a provisional government and the positions are meant to be placeholder positions, with the explicit task to form/adopt a political system, legislature, election system, etc.

Despite me being the founder and as such has ultimate executive power over the region, I will be taking the backseat and will only step in if absolutely needed.

Our government has reversed our previous decision to withdraw our membership from the ALDN, given the new circumstances that have occurred within this region. However, as we have just returned to this region, we find it to be inappropriate for us to raise our candidacies for any of the positions available. Thank you very much. We look forward to further cooperation in areas of economic diplomacy and cultural exchange.

Her Majesty Queen Vigdis XVI has given assent to our government's intention to become a candidate for the position of Ambassador General.

The Kyatmarese government will like to raise our candidacy for the position of Secretary of Regional Secretary.

The Central People's Government of Jeojoo will like to announce our candidacy for the position of Secretary General.

Deuderland would like to welcome Chinvania back to the ALDN, and respect their decision to not put forward a candidacy.

Additionally, we would also like to extend our welcome to Hokahatsu as well. We hope you will help us building our community.

The State Council (Cabinet), including the Prime Minister, of the Federal Government of Hokahatsu has just been sworn in by the President. As a new government, we will strive to domestically implement political and economic reforms, including the revival of the free market and increasing political transparency. Additionally, as one of our first actions as a government, we would like to raise our candidacies for either Secretary-General or Ambassador General. Given our experience as both a nation and a member of nationstates, we believe that we will be suitable for these two positions. We wish for nothing but the best in the future for this region. After a period of discussions with the cabinet, we have decided to abstain from any of the positions available. That is primarily due to our government's current focus on implementing political reforms, after the ousting of the previous dictatorial government after a coup d'etat. However, that does not mean we will not be engaged in any forms of regional cooperation. In fact, we will be delighted to cooperate with other member states/nations in all areas of mutual concern. Overall, we hope for nothing but prosperity and success for this region.

The government in Swindenland recieved a no-confidence vote and the Federal Parliament elected a new centrist government. The new foreign affairs minister has made a speech:

"The new government will withdraw our candidacy for the Secretary General, because Swindenland firstly needs to properly implement domestic public policy and acquaint itsself with the democratic culture of the ALDN. We all have to be responsible to run for such an important position, and it would not be responsible for us to do so now. I greatly apologise, but on the other hand new opportunities might be on the horizon, and this new government will chase the horizon."

After a referendum, in favour of amending the Constitution to allow for partisan Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates, Praekarn Vejjajiva and Abhisit Thamrongnawasawat of the Social and Liberal Democrats-Labour Joint Ticket have been sworn in as the 2nd President and Vice-President of the Civilian Republic of Tubmoni respectively. Actions are currently being taken by the current government to adopt a more secular constitution, with further referendums being planned.

After a decisive decision by the people of Chung Kong to embrace Elizabeth II as their monarch, Chung Kong has become a Commonwealth Realm of the UK, akin to Australia and Canada.

The New Saigon Transitional Government will like to invite all fellow leaders of the ALDN to the inauguration of President-elect Nguyễn Minh and the first government after the transition to liberal democracy. ~Chế Đức Trạm

Dear fellow members,
As mentioned before within our nomination application, Hokahatsu has been active within Nationstates for quite a while, hence we have a vast amount of experience and can provide confidence and experience to our peers. Additionally, we are a large nation, with a bourgeoning population and increasingly transparent institutions, thus we will inherently seek to provide a transparent and honest leadership.
