The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | From memory I can't contribute to any of those. Can you contact other players who were around with you in this region or other friendly regions? Or you can use RMB search for posts in regions that still exist and were not destroyed by anyone, nor wiped and refounded out of necessity, and search the forum for relevant posts, including posts by nations that have CTEd. Factbooks of CTEd nations are also available, but factbooks were only introduced in 2012. Sounds like the same dumb destruction of what other people have written which invaders still spend their time and energy on today. If you want, you can also create a factbook of sorts about history of the region, with the content you have. Do you know when you were founder for the first time?
The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | Can Tolkien make you look up the meaning of a word? arrassed I really would have needed the option to vote for several of them.

The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | Here's the last one of my favourite orc insult series. And here's some more context than will fit into the poll format. Enjoy. We will fetch him from his hole, if he does not come. Bring out your skulking king! (Uruk-hai at Helm's deep about Théoden.) The brief glow fell upon a huge sitting figure, still and solemn as the great stone kings of Argonath. The years had gnawed it, and violent hands had maimed it. Its head was gone, and in its place was set in mockery a round rough-hewn stone, rudely painted by savage hands in the likeness of a grinning face with one large red eye in the midst of its forehead. (At the Cross-roads, orcs show their opinion of Gondor with a bit of dull vandalism. By the way, if you remember the entrance to Mirkwood in the Hobbit film The Desolation of Smaug, I think the film-makers put some similar graffiti there, to hint at the orcs at Dol Guldur.) the enemy was flinging into the City all the heads of those who had fallen fighting (...) all were branded with the foul token of the Lidless Eye (Physical insult as psychological warfare used at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.) There's a great fighter about, one of those bloody-handed Elves, or one of the filthy tarks. (Snaga. 'Bloody-handed elf' sounds much more sinister than a mere 'bloody elf'. 'Tark' is a pejorative term for men of Númenorean heritage.) But they can make mistakes, even the Top Ones can. (Gorbag's insolent remarks. He's not up to snuff in the blind loyalty department. Overheard by Sam.) Grr! Those Nazgûl give me the creeps. And they skin the body off you as soon as look at you, and leave you all cold in the dark on the other side. But He likes 'em; they're His favourites nowadays (Overheard by Sam. Gorbag complaining about upper echelon. He'd prefer being a freelancer without any Dark Lord ordering him about.) They've lost their heads, that's what it is. And some of the bosses are going to lose their skins too, I guess (Tracker orc's rude statements about Higher Ups, overheard by Sam and Frodo.) You cursed peaching sneakthief! You can’t do your job, and you can’t even stick by your own folk. Go to your filthy Shriekers, and may they freeze the flesh off you! (Tracker to fighter orc, same overheard argument.) Well, there you are, Mr. Frodo. A perfect little orc, if I may make so bold – at least you would be, if we could cover your face with a mask, give you longer arms, and make you bow-legged. (Sam on orc disguise, trying to lighten the mood inside the tower of Cirith Ungol.) Well I call that neat as neat. If this nice friendliness would spread about in Mordor, half our trouble would be over. (Sam applauds orcs quarrelling and killing each other.) I don't want to hear no more. No welcome, no beer, no smoke, and a lot of rules and orc-talk instead. (Sam, back in the Shire, uses comparison with orcs as fitting insult. And it is indeed the mentality of Mordor that has affected the Shire, not only physically but also in the nasty way hobbits interact with each other under Sharkey's rule.)
The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | Dear Guardian paladin and former founder of Lothlorien, I've added you to Turkdulapitou with the polls authority. Thank you for being part of the fun! Just feel free to start a new poll whenever a theme occurs to you and a previous one has run out.
The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | And we have a new poll, on a Halloweenish theme. Never say die!
via Mordor | Left butt cheek | barrow wight is underrated |
The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | Our current poll will close in a couple of days. Guardian paladin & Turkdulapitou, I'm not going to post another one immediately, but wait and see if perhaps you have any questions for the fandom public up your sleeves. Guardian paladin, whenever you post one, please remember to uncheck 'open to residents', then it'll be open to all nations anywhere. Subject and length of time: whatever you like.
The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | Apropos of 'never say die' - what should we do for the yearly returning zombies? Slay them, become zombies, or feed them cure lembas?
The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | Current poll - on the silly side again - is about one of Tolkien's literary devices, onomatopoeia. As there are many, this time round they are only taken from The Hobbit. And it doesn't even yet include the most famous one: Gollum, Gollum! That will have to wait until another round.
The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | Elvish holiday card. On the road to the Grey Havens. Frodo and Sam halted and sat silent in the soft shadows, until they saw a shimmer as the travellers came towards them. On the road to the Grey Havens by victoriaclare. A lucid dream. You see a shimmer as the travellers come towards you.
The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | The image On the road to the Grey Havens is not my own work. Therefore I made sure to link to the artist. Cross-posted from Gondor RMB: I merely selected the picture because I like the theme, and the night time atmosphere. Somehow it seems suitable. You know what, perhaps it unconsciously reminded me of the Flight into Egypt theme in art, which sometimes shows up on holiday cards. On a previous occasion, I sent a card with a silly theme: drunken elves.

The Queendom of Lady Galadriel | Check out Middle Earth's new strategy-roleplay signups. Maybe you want to play? If so, telegram Tatarica! Join us on an epic adventure! We are almost ready, the only thing we are missing is YOU. So please read the FAQ. We really hope you participate, and give the role play a chance. The roleplay is similar to the tabletop strategy game of Diplomacy (if you know it), where you are the leader of a faction owning several provinces on a map of Middle Earth and with the power of your armies and your cunning diplomatic skills you make or break alliances and conquer more land. You do not need and roleplaying skills in order to play but for those of you that are more skilled in roleplaying, we invite you to hone your skills and show them off by adding a layer on top of the roleplay, with engaging stories (brave, hopeful, horrific or terrible) that span the regions on the map. The roleplay is divided in several "updates" (times when all the information is compiled, actions are done and the map changes), and we have 2 updates per week, meaning that if you'd like to play all you need to do is to be active for a few minutes and post your In-Character message at least once every 3 days. Everything takes place on the regional message board of the NationStates region Middle Earth Roleplay, where registered nations (after being accepted into the roleplay) will send a new nation (a "puppet") and post with it on the RMB the In-Character (and Out-of-Character) messages. We have the map ( https://middle-earth.LTstuff.com/roleplay/map.jpg ), we have a FAQ that further explains things ( https://middle-earth.LTstuff.com/faq.html ), we have a roleplay calculator (if you need it) and for how the actual roleplay is going to look you can check the old RMB messages on Middle Earth Roleplay or visit the website at The Roleplay's registration period is starting from the 22nd of February and is going to last until we get the necessary 14 brave volunteers willing to play. Be around that date so you have priority on the provinces you'd like, as well as the map color and the army icon. Once the 22nd comes, be sure to follow the instructions at "How do I join up?" in the FAQ. If you have any question regarding the role play, Do not hesitate to send a telegram to Tatarica.
