Never in a million years. I may write fan fiction but ships and pornography are a big no no for me. (I do include sexual references though).

But I do include some dark elements, mainly violent wise and setting wise.

What's artistic and what's pornography is in the eye of the beholder. I consider "Fifty Shades of Grey" (the book) pornography. But I considered the nude center foldouts in "Playboy" artistic.

I agree. Take erotica, for instance. The purpose is to elicit, to arouse, by targetting the brain - the most sexual organ we have. It's mostly about sensuality, about things we don't see or that we would expect to happen. Sensuality is imagination's sister. It produces desire, but it's only implied. It usually comes in a format that took talent to create. And if it is someone's brainchild, if it can be publicy exposed and was meant to, then it may qualify as Art.
When it's explicit and graphic, describing or showing a sexual act, whether written or depicted, then it's pornography.

Would you consider "Lady Chatterley's Lover" pornographic? It was scandalous in its day.

And those of you who've read "Song of a Man Who's Come Through" by D.H. Laurence, may have gotten the poet's probable meaning of someone who has had a mystic experience, but all I see in it is a description of seduction. Must be the gypsy in me.

The Pyramids in the Jungle of Karamuru

I must admit I never read the book.
I can only imagine the scandal it stirred up in 1928, considering that, not long before that, a woman showing her ankles was considered indecent exposure. D.H. Lawrence's book was certainly ahead of its time in its groundbreaking sexual maturity.
Also shocking and unthinkable at the time was a Lady being involved in a relationship of a carnal nature with a man from a lower class. I imagine if it were about a Lord and a female servant it would be more palatable for a still conservative society and readership/public.

I read the poem. I interpreted it as the words of a man who is not at all at ease with himself, and desperately wishes redemption or liberation. He knows what he wants, he wants a purer, pristine reality within and through himself, as true and as thin as the wind, but he doesn't know exactly what he'll get. That's why he finds the three angels strange, and lets them in.

Only pornography I've read was in Salby Damned (A UK zombie book) where there was plenty of nudity, hell someone even got raped. I was 11 when I read it at the time and by God it disturbed me.

Glad it was just words, I can easily skip words.

Edit: I just realised the author was born in my town in Birmingham lol. Now I see why the copy I had was the first bought worldwide.

An 11-year old should not read such things. I can see where it would be disturbing. When I was 11 I had no idea how babies were conceived; it was a more innocent time.

The Pyramids in the Jungle of Karamuru

A vision I had

A place of no death but strange life
A Land that's Nowhere To Be Seen
Harmony rules, there is no strife
The People is King and there's a Queen ;

Around the world a message is sent
In so many homes it's being heard
The Truth is One, and it's unbent
A New Era for those who came poor third.

Future, Present and nebulous Past
Three cold statues under one dome
And the Princes of Wind will rule at last
In the Glorious Freedom they call their home.

I played assassins creed when I was 4. I’ve known a lot of things during my youthful years even at this age that I’m not gonna say for safety reasons.

It all depends on where and when one was born, I guess. The world was a different place when I was 11.

The amazing thing is how everything changed in such a short time. Personal computers? Nintendo? Wii? Cell phones? I'm now watching the old Raymond Burr "Perry Mason" reruns and am enjoying seeing them run to pay phones. Are there any pay phones around any more?

What else from the 60's isn't around? Drive-ins? Moog synthesizers? Twiggy? Asbestos hair dryers?

I watch police procedural TV shows set in New York and apparently there still are phone booths around.

My Dad used to remind me that I saw a man walk on the Moon, while sitting on his lap. Can't remember any of it, naturlich. Was just a toddler.

We are who we are. To be honest, I hated the '70s.
And you'll probably hate me for it, but I actually liked Disco.

Not all of us here are from the U.S., you know. I'm European, half-South African.
