But seriously, you can bring all the lasagna here.
It would probably be safe...
We would not think for a second about eating any...
It would be so wrong to eat someone else's region...

PRESIDENTIAL CHALLENGER JOSE P.H. BIRDEN DECLARES VICTORY IN ELECTION
by Wolf Cuomo, Central News Network Senior Correspondent

Three weeks after a tense Presidential election that saw violence break out on both sides, Progressive Party challenger Jose Phineas Hunter Birden has declared victory over eight-year incumbent Tad Plondrum. Mr. Birden won a staggering majority of the three-hundred million votes tabulated in the election, equally roughly 205 million votes.

"With this election, the people of Vermillion Coast finally have a leader that will make us stronger and less sick, richer and less impoverished, and more stable and less erratic." Mr. Birden said in a speech directed towards 50 or so followers at a small tavern in Baia Fortezza, the country's capital city. "We will put an end to the tyranny of a Plondrum administration, one that has stripped the rights of many liberals around the nation and one that has cost us the lives of many of tens of millions of young people around the nation."

Mr. Birden directly referenced the Guinea virus, a virus thought to be from a novel coronavirus but was actually discovered to be a mutation of the H7N9 avian flu virus that made it more virulent in humans. The virus killed an estimated 100-150 million people in Vermillion Coast, mainly due to the response of the Plondrum administration to ignore the drastic toll that the virus inflicted upon the people of the country. Normally, flu viruses kill the elderly and infants, but in this case, the Guinea virus killed people with stronger immune systems, mainly people between the ages of 10-35. The high death rate and lack of social mitigation led to flooded hospitals, dead bodies in the streets, and orphans roaming the streets of major urban areas with little or no guidance.

Three weeks after the vote, the Upper and Lower Houses confirmed and certified that Mr. Birden, who had served in both Houses for a total of 45 years before becoming President-elect, had won the election. President Tad Plondrum had been using stall tactics throughout the past three weeks, claiming with little evidence that voting machines had switched votes from all over the country to Mr. Birden instead of him.

"I will not ever concede, nor will I recognize Mr. Birden as President of Vermillion Coast." President Plondrum said in a televised press conference this morning. Flanked by lawyers, President Plondrum continued to project defiance towards the Upper and Lower Houses claiming that "Outside forces have infiltrated our great nation and stolen the vote from me. I won this election, end of story. The people of this great nation have seen what I have done in erasing the scourge of liberalism from our nation. The timely Guinea virus eliminated many young voters and we know that they vote liberal. That can't happen. We cannot have liberal voters. We have tried for many years to silence them. This nation cannot and will not survive under a liberal leadership and therefore, I will draft an Executive Order tomorrow that will declare the Upper and Lower Houses power to certify and election void. As of this, I am declaring martial law and a national curfew. The scourge of liberalism is fierce. It cannot be allowed into the presidency. I and I alone am the country's savior. I urge my supporters, my great great supporters, rise up and revolt. Take back your country! Thank you."

nope, in my country (Croatia) we don't celebrate Thanksgiving.. do you? is Thanksgiving celebrated in Bali?

Btw I wanted to ask you, I've heard that Bali is very (like, VERY) strict about cannabis.. and I see than your country here on NationStates has legal cannabis.. so is it really like that in Bali, like they put you in jail for possession or something?

Bali is not a independent country, its part of the Republic of Indonesia. And this is a Nationstates, basically what is legal in my country in this Nationstates is the really illegal in real world. Cannabis or narcotics whatever form it is if its below 5 gram then it will be 4 years minimum in jail. Higher then fivr gram, 20 years or live sentence (that if you lucky) but if you carry narcotics to hundreds of gram, well pray for miracle because the attorney will seriously give you a CAPITAL PUNISHMENT. So yeah. Basically what is legal in my country version of Nationstates is very much illegal in real life.

Bali is really part of Indonesia, not an independent country. Also the Narcotics law is a National Law and applied nationwide, so its not a provincial or state law because this country is a Unitary form of Government. No matter where you bring drug to Indonesia, dont do it. If you do, you better be 4 gram or lower, you probably got 4 years minimum jail or pay fines or got both. Higher then 4 gr, 20 years, live sentences, or capital punishment by firing squad.

Amadar

That's very f*-ed up.. Everything is illegal in my country too, but at least they differentiate between cannabis and harder drugs.. Damn, firing squad, that we don't have. Actually, my country (Croatia) is too chill with its laws. I think we don't even have life sentences. So you can kill here as much as you like.. Hardocore criminals don't get more than 20-30 years in prison. They are more strict about drugs than about murder, or so it seems to me.

Is it like sunny in Bali all year round? :D

Amadar

Btw Kindjal I tried to find the TV show called "Groland" but can't find it online.. do you maybe have some link, maybe Youtube or something, so we can check it out?

Not always. There is a time when rain comes. Well drugs are categorized as a severe crime. In fact one prison, 50% of the population are actually drug dealer. That is bad thing and it is because there is a large Swatch of population in prison turns out to be innocent.

hahaha they are awesome, especially the first one !!
does the word "groland" mean anything?

The Queendom of Kindjal

Gros means big. Basically it is meant to be a country for stupid, selfish, lazy people...

The Queendom of Kindjal

My favorite, couldn't fond it on YouTube, is a 2 min long video with a very solemn voice explaining how Groland just legalized euthanasia, following an old man explaining very seriously that he chose to die, goes to a clinic where he meets a very serious doctor explaining very serious things, he lies down with an iv drip, closes his eyes, doctor calls his name a few times, he opens his eyes again and the doctor says : "you ok ? I know, I was injecting viandox (some weird meaty sauce) !" And they both laugh very hard as the once solemn voice concludes : "one should always be allowed to crack a joke at work"
