Seriously though, what are the actual motivations for the changes? I can't think of any good reasons for doing this, while I can think of good reasons against it (e.g. Nevan-Arkiasin War, presence of Swedish population in Nordania and the Northern Sea to name two off the top of my head; I'm sure there are more).

Then you should take it up with Zieg then if you feel it wasn't shown in the best way possible

the only thing you have to do is travel on a ship longer, nevan-arkiasis war can still happen, and swedish people can still be in nordania

An inland sea between Artisia and Nordania would be cool

That way they can be geographically connected but still distinct continents

You were added to the Dropbox map file, but for some reason the one currently on Wiki is based on an older version.

It's like the equivalent of travelling across the Atlantic in the 9th century and somehow remaining in contact with all the people you left behind: in other words, fully unrealistic.

Same for Geadland, which is now an inexplicable Scandinavian exclave a whole ocean away from other similar countries. If anything, this seems to hark back to the day when we had random nationalities spread all over the map.

That seems to be more of a problem of telling people "no, you can't go here, that doesn't make sense" than anything else

You do realize Inleda is near Geadland, which is also Scandinavian. It may not be sovereign anymore, but we do have a substantial Nordanian minority in Luziyca.

Besides, the Vikings did sail to Vinland in the 1000s, and they remained in contact with it for a while before they got abandoned.

If you want to move Nordania move Nevanmaa too just take it the farthest proximity away from our liberalized serene Monic land
