A stroke, that is devastating. That happened to my aunt and it badly affected her speech and mobility. It’s hard if you have to put your life on hold but family is important. I suppose you could eventually move somewhere with better jobs and send money home? Will your dad be able to get any better?

Yeah, eventually I'm trying to get on my own feet again. Getting work and moving out. My father's getting better. Actually, the doctors and therapists were surprised at how much he's improved. Although I don't know when he will be able to live alone or at the very least, at extended periods of time.

Tough for you glad your dad is improving

A couple of chatty ones have left us over the past year, but chatting also ended up in disagreements from time to time.

My population is 15.5 billion which sounds like a lot but it would be a lot bigger if the nation hadn’t ceased to exist for a long time because a) I was busy with other things, then b) because I couldn’t remember the password, then one night the password came to me when I was trying to get to sleep, no really, I revived the nation and went to sleep.

I suppose I could talk about my nation's name.

Vurunzil is in homage to my first ever nation on NationStates, Vurunzil. I made it back in August 2013 and let it die soon after. So you can imagine it has a lot of sentimental value to me.

Judging by a factbook post I made for the nation, the theme of the country was that it was formed out of the ruins of a genocide or some other civil bloodbath. I mentioned people named "Uru" and "Drake," I think that was because I was really into dragon-human hybrids back then, since I know "Drake" is definitely a reference to some sort of dragon scalie.

Of course, that's not the current Vurunzil's concept. This Vurunzil is based off of a direct democratic state, similar to Switzerland, but with the concept of the national government not being a land-based state, but a thought-based state.

You can get the gist of what a "polystate" is from my factbook.

Vurunzil's flag can mean many things to different people, even depending on the topic:

• The colors green and blue can represent libertarian left and libertarian right (respectively), red and black, authoritarian left and authoritarian right (respectively).

• The design can also represent the convergence of different peoples coming together to make Vurunzil happen. Different shades of humanity living in harmony.

• The flag seems more futuristic and breaks current vexillology standards on designing flags, which is what I am wanting for Vurunzil.

Also, on a whim I once used DALL-E Mini (an AI image maker) to make an "autistic flag" and it generated flags that look shockingly similar to Vurunzil's. So there's also that lol.

Vurunzil, a poly state sounded to me at first like polyamory that is “have your cake and eat it”, doesn’t appeal but no your idea is to include different groups of thought that wouldn’t ordinarily fit together is that right? Different people coming together but presumably without killing each other? Let’s hope that works out !

My flag came from I forget where. I assume that our regional flag was designed to be an autism flag? I like it.

My nation’s name is taken from my street in east London and my motto I must have read it somewhere but it fits.. “ The only safe place to live is inside your head.”. I have no Factbook because I have no worked out philosophy for my nation beyond the motto.

Well hey, this game is a fantasy game lol. But Vurunzil is more like a nation where the state only has control over minds, not necessarily over territory. Basically, people live in Vurunzil because they all consent and agree to live here; they agree to the values and policies of the state of Vurunzil.

Yeah, basically. I have my super hyperfocuses. Basically presents themselves as private obsessions that influence almost every waking moment of my life.

Granted, I'm in the less blessed category since my hobbies aren't really mainstream or viable as a commercial endeavor.

Ha! Since when do we have to get serious? Life is too short, too miserable, and other people are too serious, for us to be serious.

One thing I've learned about living well is always do the best that you can, give the absolute best that you can give to other people, but other people have ZERO right to vampirize and dictate your emotions, your behavior, nor are they entitled to your compliance, your respect, your energy.
