Stalin's Russia and Mao's China killed way more people than Hitler's Nazi Germany.

Yet, we don't talk about Mao or Stalin do we???

It's because history is written by the victors.

Many people don't realise the utter brutality of their regimes because the West somewhat were allies with the Communist Regimes.

Hitler's atrocities are way more widespread because the West had no reason to not say anything about them.

During the cold war, insults like this (if made by Western world leaders) would risk increasing very high tensions with the Communists. The Cold War is also still pretty recent, in schools (well in Canadian schools) the 20th century Cold War isn't given more teaching hours as WW2.

You also have to realize that not every country was as hostile as the U.S. towards the Soviets.

In fact, Canadian-Cuban relations were very good despite the U.S. pleading to pressure the Communists During the Cuban Missile Crisis (With even Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau visiting Castro)

You also have to understand that Hitler's reign wasn't as long as Stalin's or Mao's. If Hitler and the Nazis lasted longer politically, I'm sure they would have done far worse than the Communists did. But the amount of killing they did in a short amount of time really is something to be concerned about.

The flaw with WW2 teaching is that only German atrocities are bought up. No discussion on Japanese human experimentation at all.

From what I remember currently, I'm allergic to dust (mites), mold, pollen, and I'm pretty sure ragweed.

I definitely know dust, had to go to the urgent care once due to a severe case.

An interesting proposition... I could stop sinking money into repairing the east... Well... Yes.

But I have some terms.
1. West Asen demilitarizes.
2. You renounce claim on Nua Meath, I renounce claims on West Asen.
3. In the event of war sometime in the distant future between us, Port Conrad stays neutral from the conflict, as a temporarily autonomous city-state.

Only if Nua Merth is demilitarized, and if I can remove my current Western DMZ. Deal?

Week 1 - EPFA

We are here for a beautiful day here in Saline, Volinovia to see the first-ever football game in the EPFA! Not to be confused with the organization that had this name previously, which is now the EPSA. We are here to see Lerasi at Volinovia! Attendance today is 53,879. So let's get right into the game. Some pregame facts is that we do not have any facts since this is a brand new league and we will have to see how the teams perform this week to get some hard facts to you for next week's games. Speaking of which let's look at those games. Next week for Volinovia is Kampf Empire, and Next week for Lerasi is New Jamisonia which is a non conference game. Well lets hope that we get an exiting game here today!

Lerasi - 31
Volinovia - 26

Lerasi won the game today which sets them up nicely getting a conference win early in the season. Let's hope that they can keep the momentum going when they move into next week!

Interestingly, my Albertan Curriculum (since the education system is run by the provincial -or if you're a yank, state- government and not the Federal Canadian Government) teaches us Japanese history before WWII.

The Japanese culture is important to know before trying to interpret their politics.

Although I'm not saying the Japanese were right, the Americans and British broke their tradition of isolationism which severely hampered their economic ability to thrive. The Japanese lacked natural resources to sustain themselves and decided to further expand their empire to gain these resources (which is the key difference between German War Goals and Japanese War Goals in WW2)

The feeling of hostility among the older generations to the west is very strong as politicians exploit this idea and corrupt the younger generations with "The Return to Japanese Greatness" in order to do this, the Japanese government needs to instill a sense of patriotism in their young. Thus, events that are deemed atrocious and terrible are usually covered up or skimmed by in history textbooks.

Many Westerners mistaken that "a rise in Japanese nationalism is occurring" when in actuality, Japanese nationalism has always been strong even with the fall of the Japanese Empire in WW2.

You'll realise I'm writing up so much historical posts. I'm in a medical clinic with nothing else to do, so, yeah.

Ok, what about if just the borders on both sides were demilitarized, not the whole province?
Also, about the demilitarization of your border, that was the Pakt's decision. Not mine. That's not under the authority of one nation.

This plan can benefit us both, but I am not willing to place my people in anymore danger. Communicate with your Pakt. Until then, the offer stands as is.
