Panther just ejected Poop utopia, but the reasons why have not been explained yet.

The Liberties of Panther

Because his name was "poop utopia" and every custom field was "poop" and he had as a flag the picture of a highly controversial hate peddler.

Just one of the many, many troll nations that come and go through this game. No need to overly concern yourself.

Thank you for telling me!

When I first joined Nationstates I went to The South Pacific, because that's where my brother went at first, but when I was re-founding my nation a made a mistake and came here. Best mistake ever. This is by far my favourite region and I will stay here as long as my nation exists, which I'm hoping is a long time.
I just love this place so much.

In case you weren't around when we last discussed this, a good amount of us also ended up in this region by way of mistaking it for The South Pacific. Myself included. It's basically our only recruitment strategy. I remember being so confused upon learning this wasn't actually the feeder.

Apparently, we're sort of the last active of the other remaining Not-Actual-Feeders: North Pacific, East Pacific, and West Pacific, all missing the definite article. Sadly, now all mostly fallen into inactivity. We should probably take them over and turn them into colonies within our expanding Farcical Empire.

When my nation was founded it was founded here and it still is to this day, Amen!

Huh? South Pacific isn't a feeder region. You had to have found your way here by yourself.

By the king's order, Daniel was then brought and thrown into the lions' den. The king spoke to Daniel and said, "Your G-d, whom you serve so regularly, will deliver you.”

You are right. Probably what actually happened is that this nation was founded in a feeder region that I have no memory of, and then I moved here and have been here ever since.

Neon bible

"I felt proud of her. She made me lose some of the frightened feeling I had. Behind her the moonlight was shining into the room so that it made her look all silvery around the edges. Her hair was down on her shoulders, and the light made every separate hair shine like a spider's web in the sun."

I hate to think of where my nation was spawned. It was so memorable that I forgot long ago.

Which would be a more suitable punishment, sticking a hot poker's or lasers into someones eyes, cutting off their tongues like in the hunger games or both?

Yes indeed. Katness would be happy.

I was playing a video word game (yes, I do that) and my computer opponent came up with the word "schwa." What??

So I looked it up. A "schwa" is the vowel in an unaccented syllable. Like the "a" in "alone."

Will someone tell me, for the love of God, why do we need a name for the vowel in an unaccented syllable?

Because scientists love to create terms for everything.

Phonetics is an important component of the science of linguistics. Linguistics is not just about English. The schwa in linguistics is a specific sound. In English it is not accented, but in some other languages it is. And, even for English, it is not useless if you are teaching English to non-English speakers; you need a name for this sound which they may not know how to make, but which is quite important to English. The difference between the noun "combine" and the verb "combine" is that the o is a schwa in the verb but not the noun. Here, you could just say that only one is unstressed rather than a schwa to explain the difference, but consider the word "innocuous". This word has two unaccented sounds, but only the second one is a schwa (at least in my dialect of spoken English).

I'll be serious this time... IIRC, Schwa was one of the only two possible vowels in Ubykh.

The Windy Kingdom of Noxious Air

We need to name a specific sound a "schwa?" Is there a name for the sound of the "a" in able? Is it a "long a?" Is it a schwo? Or perhaps a schwee? Will these names help a non-English speaking person learn English if it is named? I'm English speaking, and I seem to be able to speak without ever knowing what a "schwa" is. Just came natural.

Hebrewbible
