Atlantian Oceania Z-Day Plan

.

The zombie apocalypse will begin October 30th, 4:00:00 PM EDT

The zombie apocalypse originated from an April Fool’s joke several years ago. Now every year around Halloween (October 31st) there's a 'zombie apocalypse'-- basically you'll be presented with a graph tracking the member of your nations population who are alive, dead, and zombified. The growth of the zombies in your nation are controlled by the actions we take as a region as a whole. At first the zombies will grow rapidly, but through coordinated regional action we’ll make it all better.

Note, the most important thing. Participation in Z-Day is completely optional and there is no 'punishment' for not playing along. However, as success is measured on a regional basis; non-participation can be detrimental to those who are playing. As such, if you are not participating actively, but do log in during the event, please still take a moment to set your status to "Research a Cure".

What to do during the Apocalypse - All Nations

  1. As soon as you are able once Z-Day begins, begin researching a cure. You will be presented with three options, to kill, cure, or embrace. Please choose to cure as if we do so we can save the entire region. Do not kill the zombies because that only creates unnecessary dead that we could've saved.

  2. Please do not choose to embrace the zombies.

What to do during the Apocalypse - Active Participants

  1. You may join the Link#nssport IRC Channel if you wish to actively participate and coordinate 'cure missile' attacks

  2. If you don't join the IRC Chat, you may communicate on the Regional Message Board your efforts.

  3. Things that could be communicated :

    1. When you are online and actively sending cure missiles, and when you are going offline / no longer sending cure missiles

    2. If you see any nations that need urgent attention (i.e. they're about to be overrun)

    3. If you see anyone embracing and exporting the zombies

    4. Nations that you're currently working on

    5. Nations that you've cleared

  1. Don't launch cure missiles at nations which are active (currently launching their own missiles). Launching a cure missile at someone triggers a cooldown time when they can't fire any of their own.

Thanks to 'Forest' for the guide template!
