The Beginnings of Asendavia

Asendavia was officially established in the year 13 B.A (Before Ademar). The kingdom was established when 11 nobles of the Empire of Gliat Shea were exiled after plotting to overthrow their emperor. The exiled nobles left with only their families and gold, their former lands going to loyalists of the Empire. The nobles traveled for 5 years with hatred and the desire for revenge in their hearts. On the sixth day of the fifth year, they found sanctuary. The nobles had found a deep valley in the middle of the Ademarian mountain range. As they traveled further into the valley, they saw many a great things. Fertile soil, to plant their crops in. A great lake, to water their crops and provide fish. And a great forest to provide all the lumber they would need to build their new kingdom.
The nobles and their families labored for many months, laying down the beginnings of the capital city now known as Stromharad. When the city of Stromharad was finished, the 11 nobles vowed they would one day create an empire greater than the one they had come from. These 11 nobles became the greatest houses of the Kingdom of Asendavia. The greatest of the nobles, Adelar of house Harstad, became the first king of the soon to be great Kingdom of Asendavia.
