Today Conservative party members in the Capitol made a risky move which backfired. This is the biggest victory in a long time for the Democrats who have been loosing favor among voters following last year's welfare fiasco. Jason Saunders left the Capitol immediately after being voted out of his position and has refused so far to respond to any interview requests.
President Rockwell called today's events a "set back" for the party but when asked if he was concerned about the upcoming election, he responded: "When the time comes for our citizens to enter the voting booths, I'm confident they will look back at all the improvements my administration has made and are making - and that the people will make the right decision and allow me to complete my time in office."

The Union of Conservative Values have announced that North Mason Senator Meredith Louis Jackson will take over for Dan White to lead the party. All eyes are on Congress as it goes through one of it's biggest shake ups in recent history.

Story 2: Election For Snap Election Will Be Held
A referendum will be held to determine whether the citizens wish to see a snap election take place. When asked about their opinion about President Rockwell, citizens seemed split. With the Senator Mike Hayes incident last month forcing him to resign. And Dan Whites retirement now this. Events have made a 180° shift to bad for the UCV lately.

The President officially signed the bill an hour after it was passed in the presence of foreign ambassadors and members of Congress.

Story 2: Opposition Party Calls For Snap Election
Liberal democrats in the Senate and Capitol are calling for a snap election to be held. Demand by the democrats comes on the grounds of the President's possible collusion with private industries such as STEED Motors. This motion would require a majority approval from both the Senate and the Capitol - which is highly unlikely with the Conservative majority. Instead Democrats are hoping to make a demonstration - and are urging citizens to contact their Congressmen in favor of a new election.

Story 3: Rep. Dan White Retires
After the passage of the CASDT bill this evening - Rep. Dan White of South Mason (UCV party leader) officially announced his retirement from Congress effective immediately. But my fellow colleague Representative Michael Carter is very talented and will serve our state well as Lead Representative. As for who will lead our party - an announcement will be made in the next few days. But I can say that they couldn't be more fit to lead this party. Thank you all."
F.S.R. sends our best wishes to Dan White. And thanks him for his long time commitment and service to the nation. Farewell Representative!

Long time serving Capital Representative Dan White announced thi afternoon he will retire at the end of the month. The long time conservative party leader says his health will prevent him from finishing his term. At 88 Dan White is the oldest and longest serving member of Congress to date. Democratic leaders have commend Rep. White for his service. Conservative party officials have not stated who they think will assume leadership of the UCV following Rep. White's stepping down. Sen. Meridith Louis Jackson has spoken openly about wanting the position. But Party leaders are rarely chosen outside the Capital. Unless Sen. Jackson is selected as Capital Speaker. Stranger things have happened.

President Rockwell Under Fire
Following the recent Julian Cox email leaks by the SRG regarding President Rockwell's public closeness to STEED Motors. Progressive citizens are accusing the President of a Conflict of Interest. It's widely known that President Bob W. Rockwell was the CEO of STEED motors. While he resigned as CEO before taking Presidency, it's no secret that the President still has some interest in seeing STEED succeed. Is it a coincidence that STEED motors has seen record setting profits since President Rockwell has assumed office? While certainly this is only speculation at the moment - the recent controversy with Julian Cox is concerning enough to ask, how much distance from STEED has the President really given himself?
Citizens have began to protest but not in front of The Office of the President. Thousands of citizens are currently gathered in front of STEED Motors HQ in South Mason. They are protesting the possible conflict of interest between the President and STEED Motors.
The administration has not yet responded regarding the recent events. We will keep the nation updated about the protests as they continue.

Elliot Warwick New VP
This evening President Rockwell named noted conservative and former Senator Elliot Warwick as Julian Cox's replacement for Vice President. As the mystery surrounding Julian Cox's dismissal continues to elude us, the President has kept his word as the position was filled in a mere two days. The administration has refused to go into detail turning down every request for a statement. And Julian Cox himself didn't speak to us when we caught him leaving the Office of the President for the last time. Whatever happened the administration isn't talking about it.

Congress Votes To Send Troops Into War
Rep. A.J. Madison (Democratic Socialist Union) of Pourtoga spoke before the Capitol attacking the President's decision to sent troops into Theoncrati. For twenty-eight minutes she spoke out against Conservative support for military intervention in the region. In an attempted filibuster to stall the Armed Forces Committee from voting to authorize combat roles for PRZ troops -

then the unthinkable happened...

After insulting the President, calling him "a conservative in an Independence party mask" Speaker Jason Saunders had security remove the highly respected Representative for "breaking etiquette behavior" rules. Following Speaker Madison's removal there was no stopping the Armed Services Committee who voted to authorize PRZ troops to use force if necessary or beneficial to carry out their tasks at hand.
Citizens and fellow democrats were outraged. Many are calling for Speaker Saunders to resign or be voted out. With numbers not in the favor of Democrats however, it seems unlikely that the Conservatives are worried at the moment. So following the most controversial vote in recent memory, for the first time since President Josiah Marshall years ago our troops are active in foreign territory.
