Outline of the Military- WIP

Basic Rundown

Synnadine's military is divided into five categories- Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Saviors. In total, there are 555,084,907 troops spread across the five armed services. The Army and Saviors share their ranking system for the most part (Saviors have some unique ranks of their own) while the Navy and Air Force both have their own ranking system and the Marines have a mixed ranking system between the Army/Saviors and the Navy. Synnadine's army has weapons and gear suited for any environment or terrain with the training to match. Their firearms are primarily ballistic projectiles with shield disrupting functions and armor ripping tips, as are those of the Navy and Air Force. They do still, however, also have other forms of firearms in case traditional ballistic weaponry doesn't cut it. They are the basic ground forces to Synnadine, but are still highly trained and skilled soldiers. Even the light armor is capable of withstanding high explosive shells fired from a tank, and is light enough to allow to excellent mobility. This is saying nothing of the heavy armor which, while it is heavy and has limited mobility, it is far stronger and much more durable than the light armor. Meanwhile, medium armor is a nice balance between manageable weight, good mobility, and excellent protection. Meanwhile, the Navy is Synnadine's seafaring branch of military, keeping the waters in and around Synnadine safe and under close watch. They work to prevent any illegal and otherwise unauthorized passage into their territory be it by land or air, as well as obviously wage war from the seas should it be requested of them, among other responsibilities.

The Air Force takes Synnadine's military to the sky mostly providing air support and transport for the other branches. Meanwhile the Marines scans the universe and wages war in Synnadine's Starfleets, massive space fleets that venture all over the universe in search of new technologies and other space faring species. They are also Synnadine's most elite, non-augmented soldiers and it is their duty to find new planets for Synnadine to colonize as well as defend existing ones. Then finally, as mentioned in another factbook, there's Synnadine's most elite soldiers: The Saviors. Typically, a Savior is the leader of a Marine fleet, sometimes even a fireteam of Saviors or a whole squad. Together these branches make up the heart and soul of Synnadine's military. All branches use roughly the same weapons, however a Marine's weapons are made slightly superior, as they can handle more powerful weapons, while a Savior's are made even more powerful than that. Synnadinean Field Army: 248,665,632 Soldiers

The basic design of the uniform remains the same, typically, though color variations exist for different terrain, not to mention personalization added by individuals. The elite among the Synnadinean Army are the Army Commando's. The Commando's, numbering at about 325,000 strong, are considerably more skilled and better trained than a typical soldier with improved equipment to match. Only the best infantry men are placed among their numbers.

Synnadinean Planetary Navy: 33,855,955 Soldiers

The navy uniform is color coded with no variations other than the enigma on the shoulder and male/female. Black is the normal color for any navy soldier, blue is the color for a medical unit, and red is the color for a ship Captain. Not seen below is gold, the color for a fleet Admiral. The female version has a short skirt, attached to and overlaying the pants.

Synnadinean Air Force: 71,220,913 Soldiers

An average air force soldier wears one of two uniforms- Either the "grounded" uniform when they are not piloting or the piloting uniform for, well, when they are actively piloting an air vehicle. They mostly serve as support for the other armed services, rarely operating on their own.

Synnadinean Intergalactic Marines: 201,307,181 Soldiers

Synnadine Marines wear advanced uniforms designed to protect against all forms of firearms, but primarily ballistic and plasma. Their armor is based on outdated versions of Savior armor, lagging behind by a few generations, though their armor lacks the same level of performance enhancement and movement amplification circuits. Their armor also does not have a shield system or AI systems, all of which makes their armor far cheaper to make by comparison. A decent portion of the Marine's are even former Savior's in training who somehow failed or otherwise dropped out of the program at some point. Though they weren't able to pass as a Savior, they were still able to become damn good Marines. This armor is slightly customizable and comes in a few variations. Colors however are fully customizable. The basic design of the armor typically stays the same. Helping operate their starships are civilian personal who, while they have adequate levels of combat training, are not themselves actually Marines. They are still military, but are not meant to actually engage in combat unless absolutely necessary for them to do so. Their duties, simply put, are to keep the starship held together and running optimally. Civilian personnel do not count towards Marine numbers.

Synnadinean Saviors Corps: 35,226 soldiers

Saviors have the most advanced armor and weaponry Synnadine has to offer. Their armor is heavily influenced by the Spartan armor of the once great Czargonia thanks to great relations between the two nations, though only in appearance and more basic function. It, like Marine armor, is designed to protect against all forms of firearm projectiles, though Savior armor has the added benefit of highly effective shields that protect the wearer considerably more against explosions and projectiles. This armor is highly customizable and comes in several variations. Colors also vary. The picture below is just a few examples.
