Dmitri Chernov (born 9 October 1975) is a Bardonian government official and public administrator who has served as Deputy Prime Minister of the De Facto Republic of Bardonia Islands since 1 January 2026.
Chernov previously served in a number of senior administrative and government positions, developing experience in public administration and the coordination of government programs. He became known primarily as an administrative official rather than a prominent political figure.
Beginning on 1 January 2026, President Rogue Zorin reorganized the process by which Cabinet matters are submitted to the Prime Minister's Office. Under the previous system, ministerial issues could pass through intermediate officials before reaching the Prime Minister, resulting in some matters being delayed or not directly addressed. Under the revised system, Cabinet ministers submit significant matters directly to the Office of the Prime Minister, where they are formally recorded and tracked.
As Deputy Prime Minister, Chernov does not serve as an intermediary between Cabinet ministers and the Prime Minister. Instead, he assists Prime Minister Vasilenkov with specifically delegated responsibilities, including coordinating cross-ministry projects, chairing meetings when assigned, and reviewing matters referred to him by the Prime Minister.
