Amendment to the Establishment of the Election Commission - Candidate Disqualification
The Region That Has No Big Banks,
Recognizing that the Election Commission should be able to disqualify candidates for breaking rules or for other reasons.
Hereby adds a new section under Section III
“Section IV: Disqualification of Candidates
1. The Election Commission has the authority to disqualify any candidate for knowingly breaking rules outlined by the Election Commission or breaking any legislation pertaining to conduct of candidates during election periods.
2. The Election Commission must communicate all rules and legislation a candidate should abide by prior to being able to disqualify a candidate.
3. Using the disqualification power must be the last resort of the Election Commission, and they should seek to mediate the conflict prior to disqualification.
4.The Governor must approve a Disqualification of a Candidate."
