The Black Hawks Lose in the World Assembly
Following a speech in the Goldenblock by President UPC, he has announced the submission of a Security Council proposal, backed by Europeia and many of our allies. The proposal entailed the repeal of SC#217, a resolution officially condemning TBH through the Security Council, a condemnation is broadly viewed as a badge of honour for raiders.
"Invaders pose a constant threat to the processes of creation and preservation. Our goal today is to lay bare the hollow existence of these invaders and restore justice within NationStates."
"Despite The Black Hawks' empty and specious claims of being 'the most feared military organization in NationStates,' their capitulation to the Brotherhood of Malice has rendered them nothing but a puppet subject to the whims of their masters. Yet they wear their dual Condemnations as badges of honor, and even their recruitment efforts cite these badges as reasons to join the region! We will not allow this state of affairs to continue."
- President UPC
The proposal has since passed the World Assembly, and now stands confirmed as SC#512. The proposal found support among most of our allies as well as broader NationStates, with mostly raiders and raider-aligned independents voting against. They were also joined by The Rejected Realms, who saw fit to vote against the proposal. The Black Hawks currenly still have one condemnation badge for their region, having had two before the repeal.
You can read more about the repeal through the following links:

Kelios Struck by Raider Unity
Likely in response to the above repeal, a group of raiders have struck the region of Kelios in what is now an ongoing occupation. The regions involved in the raid are Sparkalia, The Black Hawks, Lone Wolves United, The Brotherhood of Malice, Kantrias, Palmetto, Osiris, Lair of the Dragon, and Ijaka. The raider pile currently stands at 151 endorsements, and has been subject to Defender sieges already. Over 10 ERN sailors have already been involved in the operations so far, led by Grand Admiral Sincluda.
Augustin Alliance builds up FA Network
The Augustin Alliance is a coalition of regions, including Conch Kingdom, Cape of Good Hope, Lands End, Ridgefield, Anteria, and Dawn Narnia. They've recently entered a non-aggression pact with the Republic of The League & Concord, last Saturday, August 31st. Besides a commitment to non-aggression, the parties have also committed to some cooperation on the World Assembly and cultural events. Chief Consul Quebecshire states in the announcement of the treaty that "Despite some tension in years past, we have increasingly foud common ground with the Augustin Alliance over recent months and are happy to formalize this growing relationship!" You can read more about the treaty and the statements from both sides in their foreign updates:
TL Welcomes New Executive Representation
The League has announced two new officials to be representing them. Former Director of Foreign Affairs New San Antonio will now be serving as the region's Director of Internal Affairs after a "record-breaking 585 days representing our interests abroad." Bootyswana aka OnTheHorizon, will be replacing NSA as Director of Foreign Affairs. The League has also seen fit to adjust the responsibilities of their Internal Affairs portfolio, the result of which you can view in their foreign update as linked above.
Europeia Elects Most of New Senate, Pending a Run-Off
Europeia mostly has a new Senate, with the general election concluding earlier today. The 4 Senators elected so far are Lloenflys, Rand, Cordova I, and Prov. Candidates Caldrasa and GraVandius found themselves tied in votes for the fifth and final seat, and are now duking it out in the subsequent run-off election. The general election featured 54 citizens casting their vote, the exact distribution of which can be viewed in the respective voting thread. Make sure to vote in the run-off election before it closes on the American morning of September 8!
The other proposal, at vote in the General Assembly, is titled 'The Right to Nature'. The MoWAA again recommends a vote against, stating: "Overall, this resolution is poorly put together, and has significant oversights and contradictions that could lead to unintended and potentially harmful consequences. Although the ministry in general would be supportive of a resolution that would have a positive impact on nature and citizens of nations via a right to nature, this resolution does not achieve that competently and efficiently." TNP Likely to Re-Open Nominations for Delegate Election
After a last minute drop-out from candidate Comfed for The North Pacific's delegate election, candidate Blue Wolf aka Evil Wolf was the last standing nominee for the position of Delegate. Evil Wolf has a reputation abroad as the founder of Lone Wolves United, and a large portion of the region has voted to Re-Open Nominations. The vote will end on September 11.
World Assembly
The World Assembly proposal up for vote in the General Assembly is titled "Repeal "Volcanic Activity Convention". The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has recommended a vote against the proposal, stating that: "[T]he resolution, which aims to foster international cooperation in volcanic emergencies, is redundant and inadequately defined." You can read the full IFV in the MoWAA subforum.
In the Security Council, the Liberation proposal for the currently occupied region of Kelios is up. As mentioned before, the region is being occupied by Raider Unity, so as Aegis signatories, Europeia's stance is of course quite predictable. The MoWAA additionally states that: "The proposal provides a quick overview of the situation unfolding in Kelios, where Defenderdom's forces are already at work trying to thwart the occupation."
