TRTHNBB - August 2024 - Approval Rating Results
Good morning everyone,I'm excited to bring you the results of our August 2024 Approval Ratings poll! Thanks to all 23 of you who voted, our turnout ended up being slightly higher than last time so I'm very happy about that.
One key point to mention before we begin looking at the numbers is that in the first iterations of this poll, options higher than 8 or 9 weren't always visible without scrolling over, so this time I left a little disclaimer telling people to scroll to the right. I think that's massively impacted our results, as the highest figure last time was 8.27, but this time it's shot up to 9.30. That said, let's jump right in!
Mjau's score increased to 7.00 (+0.09)
The Kaverian's score increased to 7.91 (+0.34)
Western Arba Fir's score increased to 7.30 (+0.75)
New United Common-lands's score increased to 8.74 (+0.79)
America the Greater's score increased to 9.30 (+1.07)
The Washington Federation's score increased to 8.26 (+0.81)
Gine Caruttiva's score increased to 7.43 (+0.70)
Syrasia's score increased to 8.13 (+1.77)
Ardeyn's score increased to 7.00 (+0.05)
Venesia Grande's score increased to 7.22 (+0.54)
Socialistic Britain's score decreased to 7.13 (-0.46)
Claibornia's score increased to 6.04 (+0.59)
Lemona's score was 5.13 (No prior data exists)
It looks like, on average, scores have seen a massive increase thanks to the inclusion of a reminder to scroll to the right a bit. I'll make sure that message sticks around in the future.
However, there are a couple outliers that definitely deserve a spotlight:
Syrasia's score increased more than anyone else's by a massive margin. I can't be certain why that is, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's because of the 17th Edition of The Social Reformer. Syrasia's formatting has been improved in a massive way and this edition has been the most viewed and upvoted of any so far -- with the release of this poll and TSR coinciding, it seems a fair bet to say Syrasia's hard work is paying off.
Socialistic Britain's score decreased slightly, while all other scores increased -- I'll speculate that, given some of the feedback we received, people voted this way because they're antsy to see the RP resume. RP has been held up in a committee for a while now, and it appears to be an important part of the region for many citizens.
Mjau and Ardeyn saw the smallest total increases of any government member -- given the increases seen by most, I feel this is more indicative of a decrease in public opinion. This is conjecture, but I feel that Mjau and Ardeyn generally work behind the scenes and don't exactly broadcast what they're up to, which could lead to an image of them as inactive. This perception of inactivity could explain their performance in the polls.
Last time around, even the highest-rated officers were given low ratings by some - for example, Yodle received a number of '3' votes. However, this time, the two highest-ranking members did not receive a single vote under 7. I can't speculate as to why this is, but it appears that general approval has certainly grown by a wide margin.
It also appears that people are generally dissatisfied with roleplay, as the officials who are directly tied to roleplay have received the greatest proportion of low ratings.
In general, the Cabinet is performing strongly, but the highest leadership as well as the Minor Officers are seeing lower ratings. This may be due to low visibility, as the Cabinet tends to do the greatest amount of publicly available work.
To conclude, I'll say that in general, ratings are high. It seems that our administration has been active enough to satisfy most citizens who responded, but we've certainly got work left to do. As the end of this term approaches, I hope that each of us remains dedicated to working for the improvement of our community.
Thanks for reading, everyone!
