History: Rise to Power

The votes that the Hadian National Socialist received on 11 November 1929 elections established the HNS Party as the largest parliamentary faction in the Republic government. Erik Daugherty the Great Grandfather of Emperor Jon I was appointed as Chancellor of Hadian on 30 January 1930.

The Republic Council fire on 22 February 1933 gave Erik Daugherty a raison d'état for suppressing his political opponents. The following day, 23 February, he persuaded the Republic President Alex Macedon to issue the Imperial Decree, which suspended most civil liberties. On 16 May, the Republic Council passed the Stabling Act of 1933, which gave the Imperial Advisors the right to enact laws without the consent of the council. In effect, this gave Erik Daugherty dictatorial powers. Now possessing virtually absolute power, the HNS established totalitarian control and dissolved the Republic; they abolished labour unions and political parties, and imprisoned their political opponents, first at wilde Lager, improvised camps, then in Hard Labour camps.

Today, the Hadian National Socialist party is lead by Jon I who also did away with the Chancellorship by establishing an Imperial Order and declaring himself Emperor of Hadian.

Party Policy: A State of Readiness!

With the HSN party members in complete presence in all functions of Government and military the party has placed into effected a "A State of Readiness" policy, prioritizing Hadian's Military in the affairs of state and allocation of economic resources. "A State of Readiness" as a principle that guides political and economic life within the Empire, with "military-first politics" dominating the political system; "a line of military-first economic construction" acting as an economic system; and "military-first ideology" serving as the guiding ideology.

This policy elevates the Military within Empire as an organization and as a state function, granting it the primary position in the Hadian government and society. It guides domestic policy and international interactions. It is the framework for the government, designating the military as the supreme repository of power. The Hadian government grants Hadian's Military branches the highest economic and resource-allocation priority and positions it as the model for society to emulate. A State of Readiness is also the ideological concept behind a shift in policies since 1990 which emphasize Hadian's military over all other aspects of state and society.
