Supreme Court Decisions

CIVIL DOCKET FOR CASE: 15-KZ-3-0001

In a 5-4 decision the Dushinan Supreme Court has declared that state mandated ID chips go against the Dushinan Bill of Rights. Justice David White made the offical opinion.

"It shall be known that this ID chip law clearly violates the fourth Amendment to the Dushinan Bill of Rights, no citizen or resident may be discriminated against and must be treated equally under law.
This principle is being clearly violated by the implant of government trackers. Even if anonymized this is still a flagrant violation of rights of every person be they citizen or not.
In this case I side with M. Johnson because it is clear that the founders of Dushina did not intend this. " -J. White

This is a landmark decision made by the Dushinan supreme court prioritizing personal freedom and anonymity.

CIVIL DOCKET FOR CASE: 15-KZ-3-0002

In a 7-2 decision it has been ruled that media piracy by individuals is allowed. Justice Rivera made the official opinion in this case.

"It is clear that, to the best of all our knowledge, media piracy is not a violation of any existing law on the books in Dushina. However this is only the case for media piracy where no price is paid for the product. In cases such as those where you pay for the media it is obvious that piracy would affect the sales of the corporation. This may include (but not be limited to) things such as consoles with pirated games or unlicensed games included, media players with preloaded pirated content or other means of selling pirated content. We have found that piracy of content by corporations with ample funds is also illegal as this truly hurts the sales of the content in question. The prosecution has no proof at all that it (the action of piracy in question) has hurt the sales of Dushina Music Group (DMG) therefore in this case I rule in favor of the defense.
-J. Rivera
