Vosteran

Vosteran is a state in the Jungle region of the Republic of Littolyo. Vosteran borders Stoltland to the north, Kapala to the west, and Nokei to the south, and touches corners of Furst to the northwest, and Warren to the southwest. Vosteran borders the Faronna Sea to the east, with coastline along Carmo Bay.

With more than 19 million residents across a total area of 229,174 km², Vosteran is the 9th-most populous and 23rd-largest Littolyen state, as well as the fastest growing. Before statehood, the territory was ruled for centuries by the Vaior Kingdom, one of the preeminent powers along the eastern seaboard of North Argus. Vosteran's largest city is Damagna, the former capital of the Vaior Kingdom, and the largest city in Eastern Littolyo. Damanga has a population of nearly 2.1 million and is an anchor of the Damagna-Nokei Bay urban statistical region, with 7 million residents in its metro area. The state's capital is Auburn Falls, where the Littolyen military administration moved the government from Damanga after defeating the Vaior Kingdom in the War of Unification, in order to weaken popular Vaior identity.

Vosteran's robust and highly diverse economy ranks 8th among the states, with a gross state product of approximately $1.37 trillion. Major sectors include banking and financial services, media and entertainment, real estate, logistics and shipping, agriculture and fishing, communications and IT, and tourism. The Port of Damagna is the third busiest container port in Littolyo by volume. The Vestra Valley and Vosteran's foothills are the epicenter of Littolyo's wine industry. Vosteran, and the Damagna area specifically, attract many residents from across the country and other nations due to their strong economy, vibrant cultural scene, pleasant weather, and relatively low cost of living. NGY Group, a conglomerate holding company based in Damagna, is currently building a new skyscraper in the city that will be the tallest in Eastern Littolyo upon completion in 2025.

The state is largely synonymous with the Vaior Kingdom's rich cultural heritage, including music, dance, theater, art, and cuisine. The Vaella Museum in Damagna's arts district hosts one of the nation's largest collections of contemporary art, and the Parcade is a beachfront trail that follows more than 100 km of Vosteran's coastline, lined with statues and sculptures by prominent artists. Damagna's theater district is home to the Royal Damagna Theater Company and more than two dozen playhouses, including some of the oldest theaters in continuous use in Littolyo, as well as the world-renowned Damagna Philharmonic. Vosteran is part of the Foothills cultural community.

Vosteran's geography is a mix of hills and plains, with most of the state lying in the lush and verdant Vestra Valley, between the rivers Fiern and Vestus. The state's northwest corner rises toward the Eastern Range mountains, while its eastern coastline is lined with beaches, sand dunes, and wetlands. Most of the state experiences a mild oceanic climate, with the state's far southern reaches having a humid sub-tropical climate, especially in the Tayn River Valley, along the border with Nokei.
