PROTECTING OUR OCEANS, SAILING THE SEAS.

Welcome to the official portal of the Merlovichan Navy.

In cooperation with the Army and Air Force, the Navy is responsible for defending Merlovich, its coastlines, its shipping lanes and its citizens. It also protects our waters from illegal fishing, drug running and illegal immigration; contributes to regional security; and supports global interests, through:

• Providing maritime patrol and response
• Maintaining a strategic strike capability
• Protecting shipping and offshore territories and resources
• Collecting and evaluating maritime intelligence.

On a day-to-day basis the Navy provides many services that are critical to the safety of shipping, and those engaged in professional and recreational seagoing. In addition to defending our nation, the Navy is on permanent standby to participate in a broad range of operations in Aislada and overseas. These include supporting international peacekeeping and humanitarian operations, and helping communities affected by natural disasters such as fire, flood and earthquake.

The Navy is tasked with protecting an exceptionally long set of coastlines, as well as contributing to regional security and international peacekeeping and disaster-relief operations. This calls for a flexible and adaptable naval capability, resourced with leading-edge technology across ships, submarines, aircraft, weapon systems and communications. The Navy relies on complex communication systems to maintain contact between vessels above and below the surface, aircraft, command positions, and allied forces. Across radar, sonar, radio, microwave and satellite technology we also operate some of the world's most sophisticated surveillance and intelligence gathering systems, to identify threats and maintain strategic superiority.
