Demi Humans of Catsfern
Lamia (Sapien Serpentes)
Lamia are demi humans with snake like characteristics, the most notable is the long muscular tail that serves as their means of locomotion rather than legs. This tail attaches to a human like torso just below the pelvis with what could be considered a sort of thigh being a sort of transitional point between skin and scale. Other than the tail more outwardly noticeable feature of the lamia include Long pointed fangs in the place of canines, a long tongue which splits at the end, a second translucent set of eyelids, scaly pointed ears, and a highly specialized jaw which can both chew normally and unhinge to take in large amounts at a time. Internal differences include a vastly different organ arrangement with the bulk of the digestive system being larges and spreading into the tale. The throat is also wide and flexible and controllable with an almost straight shot into the stomach. this along side the specialized jaw allow the lamia to eat very large potions in one bite, though they also have the ability to eat normally. Lamia also lack a uvula and a gag reflex as their throats make choking unlikely because and obstruction can be moved and repositioned by the throat itself. Currently only female lamia exist.

Cyclopes (Sapien Cyclopia)
The most standard human like of the demi humans are the cyclopes with the only real differences being with the head. a cyclops has one large singular eye located in the center of the forehead above the nose, cyclops noses are smaller than that of an average human and cyclops foreheads are more elongated, both of these differences. are to accommodate the larger central eye. While not devoid of depth perception cyclopes are somewhat deficient in this field. Male and Female Cyclopes both exist

Harpies (Sapien Avere)
The non human features of the harpy are found at the appendages. In place of human arms a harpy has wing like appendages. these wings are covered in soft feathers which match the harpies hair color and molt annually. The wings of a harpy bend backwards and can fold up into themselves to be held against the back. Harpies also have bird like legs which bend backwards at the knee and end in five pointed talons. these talons have sharp ends but a similar range of motion to a human hand. A thumb like talon points inwards at the side of the talons allowing for the same range of opposability as a human hand. Only female harpies currently exist.

Scylla (Sapien Cephalopodan)
Scylla have their non human features where the human legs would be. Where a standard human has legs a scylla has two sets of four tentacles which spread out in fan shapes away from the torso. These tentacles are muscular and are covered in suction cups which can each be controlled independently. these tentacles can be used when splayed out for locomotion or grasping, however they also feature an internal cartilage structure allowing them to join each set of four tentacles into a sort of semi rigid leg. allowing the scylla to walk upright like a normal human should they so choose. scylla tentacles can dry out and be damaged if removed from a source of moisture for too long. Only female scylla currently exist.

Neko Girls (nekomimi) (Sapien Felidae)
The original Catsfernian demi human their mostly human like with the only non human features being pointed cat like ears at the top of the head and a long skinny cat tail attached to the back above the buttocks. Only Female neko girls currently exist.

Canids (Sapien Canidae)
Canids are mostly human like much like neko girls. Their only non human features are long floppy dog like ears at the top of the head and a fluffy dog like tale attached to the back above the buttocks. Male and female canids currently exist.

Brief History of Demi Humans
The first demi humans of Catsfern were the Neko Girls, discovered over 50 years ago before the Presidency of John Henry Eden in the lab of rough geneticist Dr. Tucker millions of frozen embryos were discovered. with their mostly human biology they were developed and adopted out to the public. soon after the elevated rate of mental deficiency was noted and the IAP program introduced. many years later during President Eden's time in office the neko girls had become a fixture of Catsfern, and five new varieties of demi human were discovered in another lab of DR. Tucker. Each demi human type had one million frozen embryos and each was unique. Five frozen embryos were developed, one of each demi human species, and were adopted to President Eden and his family. from there they were raised and studied for three years before care guides were written and S.T.O.R.K. founded to adopt out the demi humans.

S.T.O.R.K.
S.T.O.R.K. or Special Team Operation Rehome Kids is the government agency responsible for finding qualified families to adopt demi human children from the new five varieties to. They're a large bureaucracy of qualified social workers who review applications, do home tours, make adjustment recommendations, and offer financial aid to prospective adoptive families.
