The War to End All Wars

The War to End All Wars, or The Last Great War, was an Interplanetary conflict that took place in the Flanelistan region, located in the Fanelle's Object Galaxy. It began after the Apocalypse, the event that destroyed Arstotzka's home planet, Flanelistan.
The war was intended to be Arstotzka's final battle for control of the region, for which it was necessary to conquer hundreds of planets, in a war fought mainly by Arstotzka and the Axis powers.

With the destruction of Flanelistan, most nations lost their main territories and their colonies fell into anarchy, the few nations that managed to stabilize began a race for control of the cosmos.

As a way of responding to the attack on Flanelistan, Arstotzka occupied Burrasca, a planet equipped with an Ecumenoplos, a weapon capable of destroying entire planets with high energy cost. Burrasca was controlled by several nations in an alliance, the Axis, who promptly retaliated against Arstotzka's attacks, starting the War to End All Wars.

Background

The nations of Flanelistan were concerned about Arstotzka's constant expansion and feared invasions, in the last decade of the 7th century A.R. these nations saw a massive expansion of Arstotzka, invading the continent of Bolsonarnia, the last bastion of democracy on the planet.

With global dominance becoming a matter of time, the Axis, a powerful alliance and enemy of Arstorzka, made use of their Ecumenoples, destroying the planet and shaking Arstotzka's Empire. Many governments fled into deep space, and their whereabouts are unknown, the nations that survived the Apocalypse escalated their tensions, with feelings of revenge and fear in their populations.

Course of the War
Burrasca Battle
Arstotzka's invasion of Burrasca came at an opportune moment, due to its recent use, the Ecumenoplos was unable to fire again, Arstotzka carries out a fast attack, using a significant part of its manpower, the Axis powers respond in a state of Total War .

The battle took place in space, with little direct confrontation on the ground, as neither side wanted to damage the weapon. Many Axis nations were extinct along with the Homeworld, facilitating the attack of Arstotzka, who after 7 years of incessant warfare took over the planet.

The occupation of the Planet did not end the battle, the Axis powers responded with greater amounts of troops in the planet's orbit, extending the war for decades.

Klaniá Battle
After The Apocalypse, many nations with colonies in Klaniá migrated to the planet, they were weak and with low manpower, in order to divert attention from Burrasca, Arstotzka bombed several nations that were on the planet, especially those that had other colonies in other planets, responses were minimal, the cost of interplanetary wars was too high to pay.

It was not until the end of the war, in 852 A.R., that Arstotzka took full control of the planet.

Aquose Battle
Being at a disadvantage, the Axis powers decided to carry out an attack on the heart of the Arstotzkan Empire, Aquose, aiming to destabilize the nation and divert its attention.

In 842 A.R. the Axis pierces the furthest lines of battle for a united attack on Aquose, using as much of its strength as possible.

With that, attacks on more distant planets ceased, as Arstotzka retreated troops to his capital, the Axis was able to conquer cities on the planet, fearing a turn in the war, Arstotzka used nuclear weapons on the planet itself, destroying part of the army of the Axis and forcing its recoil into orbit.

Orbital bombardments lasted for another decade, until the main supply lines were completely cut off, causing the Axis to withdraw from the planet entirely.

Fall of UTC-1
Eight years after the fall of Klaniá, Arstotzka invades the planets of UTC-1, the last solar system controlled by the UTC alliance, already weakened by the war of decades, UTC calls its population to fight for democracy, one last time, starting an intense guerrilla war on the planets, Arstotzka keeps away from the denser regions and starts a bombardment on urban centers, causing the death of millions of inhabitants on the planets, to avoid the death of more civilians, the local governments surrender on the condition of keeping the remaining population alive, and Arstotzka accepts.

With the surrender of their leaders, the war ended and Arstotzka became the sovereign nation of the region, and peace reigned for the first time in centuries.
