Charge Island Geography: Kleinislant
Kleinislant is an island located off the South-West coast of Charge Island and one of 16 Lantkraisá (provinces). It comprises about 8% of Charge Island's total land area. The population of Kleinislant is approximately 1,110,000 people, a vast majority of whom reside in the largest settlement, Kleindorf.Kleinislant holds a unique regional identity from the rest of Charge Island. Prior to 1863, the island was unclaimed and only had a population of around 9,000 people. It was incorporated into the State of Scharge the same year.
The island is also home to the distinct "Kleinislant accent" which sounds unlike any other in Charge Island.
The island, and more specifically the port of Kleindorf, holds significant naval importance to Charge Island, as it regularly used by the Navy to easily patrol the stretch of water seperating the two islands.
The island was also a popular travel destination for Maksimilian van Grun, who called the island "a beautiful little abode".
