The Royal Constitution of the Grand Kingdom of Lothaythien


This charter sets out the consitution of the Grand Kingdom of Lothaythien and enshires the power of the Royal Family of Mountvalen, with special regard to His Majesty the King as supreme ruler of the land

By the power of the Golden Lord, His Royal Majesty, Wilhelm VI King of Lothaythien, Emperor of the Crown Lands, Protector of the Faith, Shield of the People, and Royal Marshall of the Armies, The Duke Mountvalen of the Citadel does hereby solemnly decree the establishment of this constitution, for the preservation of his peoples. Under the Articles and Amendments herein, certain duties and powers shall be afforded and established, this the supreme Charter of this nation.


Article I


Section I. All executive powers shall be vested in the King, his reign existing unchecked by outside influences;.

  1. He shall be formally referred to as His Royal Majesty;

  2. He shall serve an indefinite term, from his Coronation until the day of his death, upon which his known successor be Coronated in his place.

Section II. Upon the death of the King, his successor shall be appointed per the following guidelines;

  1. The eldest living Son who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  2. If he hath no Sons, the eldest living Son of his next eldest Brother who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  3. If he hath no Brothers, or his Brothers hath no living Sons, the eldest living Son of his eldest male Cousin who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  4. If he hath no male Cousins, or his male Cousins hath no living Sons, the eldest living Son of his eldest Sister who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  5. If he hath no Sisters, or his Sisters hath no living Sons, the eldest living Son of his eldest female Cousin who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  6. If he hath no female Cousins, or his female Cousins hath no living Sons, the eldest living Son of his eldest Son who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  7. If he hath no Sons, or his Sons hath no living Sons, the eldest living Son of his eldest Nephew who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  8. If he hath no Nephews, or his Nephews hath no living Sons, the eldest living Son of his eldest Daughter who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  9. If he hath no Daughters, or his Daughters hath no living Sons, the eldest living Son of his eldest Niece who hath not yet achieved an age of forty and five years or greater;

  10. If he hath no Nieces, or his Nieces hath no living Sons, the eldest eligible successor per the above conditions, proceeding in order, regardless of age;

  11. If he hath no eligible successor per the above conditions, regardless of age, his most trusted confidante of the High Court, regardless of age;

Section III. He shall serve as the Supreme power of this nation;

  1. He shall wield unchecked power over the Armed Forces;

    1. This shall include the exclusive power of Declaration of War.

  2. He shall wield the unchecked power of Royal Decree;

  3. He shall wield unchecked power over the House of Lords;

    1. This shall include the power to dissolve the House of Lords at any time, without cause or notice;

    2. This shall include the exclusive power of Veto;

    3. This shall include the power to appoint, remove, or replace any and all members of the House of Lords, without cause or notice

    4. As well as any and all powers not specifically afforded, but applicable to this portfolio

  4. He shall exist above all laws and regulations of this land;

    1. This shall serve to permit him to enforce any and all laws and regulations by any means necessary, without exception;

    2. This shall prohibit the indictment, arrest or arraignment of His Royal Highness for any and all understood crimes of this land.

  5. He shall wield unchecked power over the Royal Courts;

    1. This shall include the power to dissolve the Royal Courts at any time, without cause or notice;

    2. This shall include the exclusive power of Pardon;

    3. This shall include the power to appoint, remove, or replace any and all Justices of the Royal Courts, without cause or notice;

    4. As well as any and all powers not specifically afforded, but applicable to this portfolio.

  6. He shall wield unchecked power over his High Court;

    1. This shall include the power to dissolve the High Court at any time, without cause or notice;

    2. This shall include the power to appoint, remove, or replace any and all Confidantes of the High Court, without cause or notice;

    3. As well as any and all powers not specifically afforded, but applicable to this portfolio.


Article II



Section I. The King's closest Confidantes shall serve in the official capacity of the High Court of Lothaythien;
  1. He may appoint advisors to any and all portfolios deemed necessary;

    1. Foreign Affaires;

    2. Civil Affaires;

    3. Financial Affaires;

    4. Military Affaires;

    5. Covert Operations;

    6. Religious Affaires

    7. Any and all portfolios not specifically enumerated, as created by need due to technological advancements

  2. They shall serve exclusively to advise His Royal Highness in all proceedings under the purview of their respective portfolios;


Article III



Section I. The House of Lords shall serve as the Legislative Body of this nation;
  1. A majority vote shall herein be defined as any vote taken in which greater than one-half of all registered Lords are present, resulting in a representative vote of two-thirds the present Lords and a greater than one-half majority of all registered Lords

  2. This House of Lords shall consist of all resident citizens of this nation receiving distinction by His Royal Highness for contributions to this nation in various spheres;

  3. This House of Lords shall consist of no less than one-hundred members at any given time;

    1. Should membership fall below this threshold, additional members shall be appointed in interim for any tenure deemed appropriate by His Royal Highness

    2. Alternatively, the King may dissolve this House of Lords, and act in their stead until such a time at which one-hundred fitting members have been appointed.

  4. The establishment of Political interest groups is hereby forbidden in this House of Lords;

    1. This shall include any and all Political Parties;

    2. This shall include any and all Lobbying Organisations;

    3. This shall include any and all Strategic Alliances;

    4. As well as any and all additional Voting Blocs, not herein enumerated but still deemed to fit this definition.

  5. Should the House of Lords be found to be operating outside of its permissions and privileges as specifically allotted in this document, at any given time they may be dissolved, without notice or cause, by His Royal Majesty

  6. Should the House of Lords be found to be operating outside of its permissions and privileges as specifically allotted in this document, it may be dissolved with the courtesy of both notice and cause, by the Royal Court.

Section II. Contributions specifically designated for Lordship may include;

  1. Contributions to the greater good of our nation in the sphere of Military Excellence;

    1. Knighthood, for those elevated to the Rank and Status of Knight (((General equivalent))) of the Lothaythien Armed Forces;

    2. Gold Star, for contributions far above and beyond the Call of Duty

    3. Silver Star, for contributions well above and beyond the Call of Duty;

    4. Bronze Star, for contributions above and beyond the Call of Duty;

    5. The King's Cross, awarded to servicemen wounded or killed in the Line of Duty in the act of protecting or assisting their fellow servicemen

  2. Contributions to the greater good of our nation in the sphere of Scientific Advancement;

    1. The King's Medal, for contributions to Science for the greater good of our nation;

    2. The Crown Prince Peace Prize, for contributions to Science for the greater good of the world


Article IV


Section I. The Royal Courts shall serve as the Judicial Body of this nation

  1. His Royal Highness shall serve as the Chief Justice of these Courts;

  2. He may appoint as many inferior Justices as he deems necessary to enforce the laws and regulations of this nation.

Section II.The establishment of or enrollment in any and all Political interest groups is hereby prohibited;

  1. This shall constitute Treason, the punishment for this conspiracy ranging from exile to execution depending upon the severity and the profile of the transgressor;

  2. This shall serve to prevent the corruption of these Royal Courts;

    1. Should the King find reasonable cause for suspicion that the Royal Courts have fallen to corruption, he may dissolve this body at any time and reappoint Justices to each respective post.

Section III. The Royal Courts shall be arranged with respect to the severity of the crimes under their purview;

  1. His Royal Highness shall serve as the Chief Justice;

    1. He shall preside over all cases of Treason;

    2. He shall preside over all cases in which the recommended sentence ranges from exile to execution;

    3. He shall preside over all cases concerning a member of the Royal Courts, the High Court, or the House of Lords;

    4. He shall preside over all appeals of the Royal Superior Court.

  2. The Royal Superior Court shall consist of a minimum of three Justices, any additional Justices must be added in pairs to eliminate the risk of a hung Court;

    1. They shall preside over all cases in which the recommended sentence ranges from life imprisonment to exile;

    2. They shall preside over all cases concerning a member of the Noble Class who has not been elevated to an Administrative role;

    3. They shall preside over all appeals of the Royal Inferior Court.

  3. The Royal Inferior Court shall consist of a minimum of seven Justices per Province under the Administrative jurisdiction of this nation;

    1. They shall preside over all other cases not specifically designated to either of the higher courts

    The principal act shall come into force immediately under the authority of H.R.M. Wilhelm VI with divine right as bestowed by God under The Golden Church of Lothaythien.
