OVC #15 - 'Foreign Policy Act I'

AN ACT TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF ODRYA'S FOREIGN POLICY AND TO UPKEEP STANDARDS.

PREAMBLE: In recent months, our foreign policy has fallen behind... a lot... if you look at the regional page, you can see how many embassies I've had to close. I also want to do this to fix any loopholes in the requirements. Seeing as Odrya is now a region of 80+ nations, I believe it should get a little stricter.

THE REGIONAL PARLIAMENT DECLARES:

  • Article VII of the constitution is to be amended with the following:

  • Clause 7.2 of the constitution is to be altered to say 'The region requesting embassies must not be tagged 'fascist', have embassies with fascist regions, or house fascist nations.

  • (Clause 7.4) Defines the definition of 'military' and 'historical' exceptions as 'regions taken by the ORA or in a cooperation agreement', and 'regions which had a close relationship with either the GPC or Calitainia during their time as independent regions.'

  • If a region breaches embassy rules, and the embassy is ordered to close, the region in question may fix the breached policies and appeal to the Foreign Secretary.

  • To come into effect immediately when passed. Voting time is 2 days.
