BIN AAYID: "TEREHAN CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS"

President Nizaam bin Aayid met with Congress earlier in the day to lay out a series of sanctions against Terehan.

LEONRAU - President Nizaam bin Aayid is aligning closely with fellow WEDA member states in denouncing the Terehanian government, issuing a statement decrying recently reelected President Asaad al-Shaad as a "warlord in the making" and a "tyrant" as al-Shaad sentenced 9 foreign nations to death over accused espionage against that nation's nuclear program.

"Terehan cannot be allowed to get away with this," bin Aayid said following a meeting with the Qolaysian Congress. "The efforts of al-Shaad and his henchmen to pursue the development of a nuclear weapon under the guise of legitimacy is a threat to the whole of South Adula, and a danger to the rest of the world. Rogue nuclear states pursuing weapons of mass destruction have always face the crippling effects of the world's unity, whether it be the now-fallen regime of Syraranto or the isolated regime of Elastan. Al-Shaad now faces the decision: release these foreign nationals who have been unjustly held hostage and allow international investigators into your nation, or face more crippling sanctions and possibly worse."

9 people - 8 Zamastanian and 1 Caspiaan - working as contractors for a Terehanian oil and gas company were detained by the Terehanian authorities on Thursday under the claim that they were spies for their respective countries. In his reelection speech earlier today, al-Shaad sentenced the men to death and threatened "this is what happens to those who seek to destroy our country."
