Welcome to the NBC World News. I am Dev Alam.

Thank you for joining us. Our principal headline is the 11722 federal election.

Precipitously a desperate "forlorn heap" (not "hope") in politics, "parochial" parliamentary candidates (like Marcel Hein Joost of the Relaxation Party, which is of no relation to immolation as the alternative of penitence of person and strangulation by garrot in the Inquisition) are proposing hydraulic works of dykes and dams (cf. the pneumatic mechanics of Otto von Guericke) to protect the New York estuary from tempestuous inundation by the tides of the Ocean. They cite the marvel of the canals and barriers constructed at the Zuiderzee ("southern sea", which is relative to Friesland of northern Nederland and was created from the Lacus Flevo when the North Sea, in a cataclysm, deluged it through the Waddenzee or "wath sea") [1].

Tomorrow, Novans go to vote at the general (not special) polls in person or by post. The NBC will be reporting on the results in the provinces on Election Day. It is expected that the Rose Party will maintain its Government in Parliament, which they assert will continue to contribute to the institutional stability of the Atlantean Union. Irrespective of the results, it will give "talking heads" more opportunities to "blow" (not suck because their faunal class as mammals is dubious) and comment, but I divagate. Follow the coverage of the notices at www.nbc.co.nl/news, at www.gov.nl and on LinkMyFace (with instant telegrams on the "textile toile" of the "web"). The data journalism ("periodism") will be presented by my colleague, Manuel Ortiz Shalemi.

The chart was designed by those who study the "stones" (ψῆφος or psêphos) of elections to be used in the coverage will represent the electoral districts as regular hexagons of identical dimensions [2]. These divisions of approximately equal population are colour-coded for the party or coalition with a majority (or plurality) of the votes. This style of chart limits the cartographic distortion of geographic area in the visual representation and proportion of the divisions. The composition of Parliament will be represented as bars with a longitude (magnitude as potent absolute value, the analogue of amplitude or latitude, which is relative, positive or negative for signals, variables, processes and systems of technology for information and communication) proportional to number of seat per faction and as identical circles arranged similar to the seats in the chambers [3].

The NBC will (bitterly) use a computational and convolutional artificial neur(on)al network (reticular nodes as cybernetic "neurones" with connective and conjunctive "synapses"; cf. the virtual memory expansion alluded by the periodic series and journal columns of LinkJohn Naughton in The Observer who would quote Michael "Mick" Jagger with "You can't always get what you want / But if you try sometimes, well, you just might find / You get what you need" with respect to the technology, although his choir on "You're so vain" might be more adequate) as a model (a diminutive of module, itself a diminutive of mode for a paradigm, stratagem or algorithm) from data for speculating (i.e., feigning or attempting to project, portend, predict, presage, previse or premonish) the results of the election to remain (belive as in leave, not love or lief) as a relevant "machine" (e.g., artifice, artefact and medium) in the World of the "matrix" [4]. Its murmur, rumour and rancour is the foetid, putrid and rancid fame of the virtual sans intelligence [5]. Its consideration of esteem is by avid and cupid avarice.

But first, here is a "puff" interview with LinkKenan Cruz Çilli and the mayor of San Francesco, Elio Costa, with his hound, Barone, to commemorate the famous street hound named Bogie [6].

[1] As Dalida declares to Alain Delon (whose name is from Adelo(n), not Delia for Cynthia, Cynthus, and who is a sex symbol like Rodolfo Bardini Guglielmi) these are "Paroles, paroles" (i.e., a copy of "Parole parole" by Mina in Cinquemilaquarantatre with "Suoneranno le sei", itself a translation of Piazzolla's "Balada para mi muerte"). Compare these declarations to ambitious, if not vainglorious, tunnel schemes, bridge projects or committees (to design banners). The "civil societies", centres or institutes for research and development (i.e., laboratories of ideas in politics, economics, tactics, strategics and ethics) have been banging on about this gibbous proposition. Their origin—frequently supported by the interests of corporations—is in the scholastic academies for humanist study, in particular finance (i.e., counts of shall and have) and other affairs of state as auditors and spectators of calculation and computation. This occurred in mediaeval realms to counter the impositions of the Roman curia and ecclesia. The service or "aide" of counsellors became arcane and secret (i.e., internal, not external) as a cabinet (e.g., bureau d'adresse et de rencontre) of cardinal experts in contemplation, formulation, exposition and decision. The controller of the despotic sovereign of France, Louis le Grand, le Roi Soleil or le Dieudonné (not le Bien-Aimé or le Désiré), is noted for his control of systematic (encyclopaedic and methodic) information and its propagation in libraries and archives for the absolute centralisation of authority in governance (administration). The antepenultimate king, but not the la(te)st magnate (president), advanced mercantile benefit or profit (elevated export by augment and crescent, and depressed or diminished import) to promote fabrication, plantation, colonisation, cultivation, and the panoply of office, commerce, industry and factory (e.g., treasure and manufacture). He codified (established) legal ordinance for the legitimate civil procedure of courts (judicature), parliament (legislature) and government (magistrature). He forced regal sovereignty, not feudal nobles, from the principal chamber of a capital palace of justice by imperial registration of edict, decree and mandate. In religion, he favoured non-ultramontane (cismontane, not transmontane, in relation to Paris, the European Alps and Italia) Gallicanism similar to Anglicanism in Britannia. His father Louis le Juste (of the Medici and the Capetian dynasty) supported the Compagnie du Saint-Sacrement, a secret chamber and "cabal of the devout", that countered the Iberian ultramarine "patronate" of padroad(eg)o real (compared to the Roman patronage of Gaius Cilnius Maecenas) in with the Société des Missions Etrangères as instructed by the Sacred Congregation of Propaganda Fide. In apocrypha, his legendary legacy is summarised with l'État, c'est moi ("the State, it is me"), whilst he factually proffered je m'en vais, mais l'État demeurera toujours ("I am going, but the State demurs always") on his bed of starve or death.

[2] The limitation of the hexagon in this form is such that no two directions (bisecting aristae, the plural of arista as one of the six segments or limits, which are equal to the quantity of vertices) or motion to an adjacent cell are orthogonal. Dissimilar from a quadrille or quadrate tessellation where the distance from the central point to an adjacent centre of the four cells is a unit or the radix of two (by the Pythagorean Theorem), this distance in a hextille or hexagonal tessellation is solely a unit or one. Similarly, regular triangles are used in tessellations (360 degrees into six portions of 60 degrees at one vertex compared to four portions of 90 degrees and three portions of 120 degrees). Note that the interior angle of a regular hexagon is 120 degrees (where the exterior angle is the difference of 180 degrees or π radians and that angle). A regular hexagon is defined as a hexagon (n = 6 polygonal edges) that is equilateral, equiangular, cyclic (with a circumscribed circle) and tangential (with an inscribed circle). It is constructible with a ruler and compass, where n is the product of 2p and distinct Fermat prime numbers in the form 2(l+1) for l = 2m and the integers p > 0 and m > 0.

The length of each edge l is equal to the radius of the circumscribed circle, 2 / √3 of the apothem (or the radius of the inscribed circle from the centre of gravity to the centroid, barycentre or central point of a line segment as a mediatrix). The diameter D (double the radius R) of the circumscribed circle is equal to the maximal diagonal (at a vertex), whilst the diameter d (double the radius r) of the inscribed circle is equal to the minimal diagonal (at the median of an edge). Thus, r equals the product of R and cosine of 30 degrees (by trigonometry). Symmetry (reflection and rotation) is demonstrated in a hexagon. In mathematics, Euclid in Elements (Στοιχεῖα or Stoikheîa), Book 4, Proposition 15 describes the geometric Linkconstruction of these efficient Linkhexagons. In artifice, the hexagon is the metonym of France (if not an octagon with the geic territory of Alsatia and Mosella). In Nature, the hexagon is encountered in a crystalline structure and the apic favus.

Hexagonal sampling is optimal for two-dimensional (stochastic or aleatory and deterministic or non-aleatory) signals that are isotropic (uniform in all orientations) and limited in the frequency spectrum (by the Fourier transform) with finite spectral frequencies. A coordinate system in digital signal processing (e.g., picture elements of images) assigns position (t, f, c) from the vector product of a binary table (matrix) and two-dimensions of integers as a file and a column. This is converted (as a transformation and change of basis) to Cartesian coordinates (x, y) with (t / 2 + c, √3(t / 2 + c)). The Nyquist–Shannon sampling theorem applies to continuous-time signals that are limited in bandwidth. The discrete samples at a minimum sampling frequency (the reciprocal of the interval or period) equal to double the maximum frequency band of the signal are sufficient for the reconstruction of information.

[3] Statisticians argue distinction of lengths of lines is more correct than with area of component sectors of a circle (with different proportionate central angles that are related to arc length by circumference or perimeter) or concentric circles (with identical centres, angles and arc lengths or polar and circular curves, but different radial lengths) in (schematic and symbolic) graphic diagrams for mathematics, physics, technics and economics. Discrete bars (compared to continuous histograms with a distribution of frequency of occurrence for intervals of a numeric variable) represent categories (quantitative or qualitative information of quantity or quality, and a categoric collection of data in a media) as columns or files with a vertical or horizontal axis.

A historic and parametric sequence of temporal series is represented as a line (with the integral area as an indication of volume). The dispersion of points with Cartesian coordinates illustrates the (positive or negative) correlation (or causation for independent and dependent variables) measured by simplex or complex (multiplex) linear regression (using conditional probability distributions, not the conjoined distribution, the error as the deviation of observation from the population in a perturbation of expectation, and the residual as the difference of the value of observation and the sample of estimation). A logarithmic scale is used for exponential and nonlinear functions.

The mathematicians of the NBC will "count" the results (arithmetic) as "libertines" similar to a palatine count of Transylvania (not "Cissylvania" of the Dunaj, Molda, and Carpates of Dacia) inspired by the cinematic interpretation of Béla Lugosi Blaskó and tyrannic progeny of Vlad the "dragon" (a member of Societas Draconistarum for the chivalry of aristocratic and dynastic monarchs, not a vampir or "devil" of possession by a "tiver", charm or spell countered by exorcism). Their Quman dynasty, whose mythic origin is in ağaç or "wood", was recorded by the Turkic Kazaks in an emblematic tamga or damga as a symbolic mark of ethnic tribes. The history is characterised by combative conflict or boj in the land (region and realm) of the Vlach or Wallach, which were considered to be Roman, subsequent to the Celts of Gaul, by the Slavs and the Germans (nemick for "mumble, mute, mime". Gothic fiction conflated this nesuferit with the "fangtooth" (oral and dental canine column) and haemic parasitism (sanguine, but not the temperamental seasons and humours).

[4] The public wants what the public gets, or is this "desert" the reverse (i.e., converse, not the inverse or contrapositive of a positive, not negative, functional and conditional, not biconditional, implication of logic) in the "underground"? I guess that's (light) entertainment. Note that the NBC developed the colour separation overlay (as a composition of images, not the subordinate underlay, of chromatic saturation; cf. the direct overlie and underlie) with blue or green, not red. The engineers of technics, systematics and informatics in video, audio and radio at the NBC are recognised for this development in the artificial (yet natural) visual and aural physics of information (communication and computation) and creation (emission and diffusion of radiation in the propagation in transmission and reception, i.e. perception by vision and audition and conception by cognition and imagination, of processes of electronic, photonic, electric and magnetic signals). It has been suggested in some quarters that the reluctance is an altering of its historic tendency, which your letters (briefs and charts) of deprecation and explication make mighty clear, cherished svelto or suelto observers. Of course, the salutation and valediction of "dear" (e.g., precious estimate of the best, not merely good, liever or lover in the query of sincere attention in estimation by consideration and desideration and as high aught with friendly greetings) signals the inevitable obsolescence of the NBC.

[5] In our entropic nominal (not real) reality with Space, is the inevitable the sole good that we can do? In the Gita, master Krishna states to the prince Arjuna:

[6] The forms of gay men are categorised into "breeds" or "races" of taxonomy like hounds (e.g., one named for a diminutive "lion" and beast, or a bichon, biche and bicker of brach(et)s, sheets and laps). For example, the "funk" of the otter, fox and wolf, not the "twink" of a chicken, are precursors to a (bipolar) bear. A similar comparison is "a boy" vs. "a (hu)man", whilst there is limited correlation to muscular penetration at the "penis party". Curiously there is not an animal lion and panther. The "hobo" (minged, mixed and spurious of "bits and pieces", "ords and ends" and bric-à-brac) type of hound associated as a "cur" that rifles in the "raff" with the intelligent knave (a gunzel, from the Yiddish gandzel as a diminutive of gans for "gosling", who swots and sweats with sudor from studying and reading whilst vested in a parka, anorak or cagoule as a waterfast cowl and screen for a windbreak as an inert klug or "knurd", or reverse of "drunk" that is not a fool or "geck", in academics and scholastics, not athletics or gymnastics). The Romanticisation of the "gaycat", where one carves, curtails and jerks the handle and grip of a broom with its scopula dispersed, is connected to train spotting (or at least the orphans of the Wagon Chiques, which is named from the rail cart, caravan or carriage and from the xic, chico, cic(c)o for "boyo, niño, nino, nen(o) or bagat(t)ella, itself from "bay", with a similar doubt of the "tripods" of authority). Notable hounds chase—but not guard with a raucous grumble, growl and howl like the burr, roar, rut, or breme—wild "game" (savage venation) with the bay of their gullet and the "scent" (flair of odour) of gore. The hound that is a terrier, biter or herd (loyal to the talon, heel or hock of their ambulatory pastor and the voice of their domestic master) has been used for educative and instructive programmes by the NBC. The genealogy or pied de grue of celebrated and acclaimed "heroes" of theatre (media and cinema) is documented in the NBC programme, Who Are You?.
