Delegate's Briefing IV

My Dear Minions,

It is my pleasure to present to you the Fourth Edition of the Delegate's Briefing, the fortnightly summary of the Supreme Leader's government's activities.

There are a few matters, in particular, which I would like to highlight to you:

We are saddened by the departure of Erinor from both the Local Council and Council on Regional Security for personal reasons. Erinor is a long time public servant and twice acted as the Delegate of the Coalition. They are an outstanding member of our community and we wish them all the very best. With this vacancy left on the Local Council, an election was held in the region and we congratulate Concrete Slab on receiving the most support from their fellow Minions to be elected as the new Local Councillor.

On the matter of congratulations, we also give our warm regards to Lebatrip, MilkyWay Republic, and Qvait who have all recently received promotions to the rank of soldiers in the South Pacific Special Forces. As members of our elite regional military, they will no doubt serve with distinction in the defence of regions abroad.

I would also like to take this opportunity to speak on another critical element of our region; that is, our regional vote in the World Assembly. As you may be familiar, the Admiral Delegate General (that's me! ^-^) has considerable voting power in the halls of the WA. It is not one used lightly and only with the opinions of World Assembly Minions in mind. I rely heavily on the advice of the Office of WA Legislation and they, in turn, rely on you—yes you(!)— to determine that very advice. OWL conducts votes in the The South Pacific WA Voting Center on a regular basis and I encourage you to consider contributing to our decisions on how the region should vote. You don't have to be a member of the World Assembly to do so (although you're encouraged to, of course) and you're more than welcome to discuss any proposal that is brought to the floor.

With that concluding note, thank you for reading this Briefing and please do consider upvoting! ^-^

Your Supreme Leader,
Amerion

Admiral Delegate General of the South Pacific

The Supreme Leader of all Minions, His Majesty, the Admiral Delegate General Stewie G., Delegate of the South Pacific, the Magnificent Ultimate Leader of all of NationStates, High Autocrat of the New Minion Order, King of Kings, Democratic President and Prime-Minister-For-Life, Chairman and Supreme General Secretary Admiral of the People’s Republic of the South Pacific, Invincible and All-Triumphant Lord Commander, Grand Dentist of the Ice Cream Association, Chief Ophthalmologist and board-certified Dermatologist of the South Pacific Special Forces, Brilliant Genius of Humanity, Noble Prize winner in everything but Peace, and Benevolent Oppressor and Ruthless Protector of the Expendable People of Amerion.

The Portrait of the South Pacific is a graphical representation of all the World Assembly nations in the South Pacific and the endorsements between them. It is hoped that this portrait will show Minions how large and dynamic this region is. If the nation is too small to see below, Minions can click on the image to view the full-size version and then zoom.

What does the Portrait show?

⦿ Each circle represents a nation. Each grey line with a small arrow between the circles represents an endorsement. The direction of the arrow indicates who has endorsed who.

⦿ The size of each circle represents the number of endorsements the nation represented by the circle has. The larger the size, the higher the endorsement count.

⦿ The colour of each circle represents how many nations are currently being endorsed by that nation. The cooler the colour, the higher the number of nations being endorsed.

The information presented here is provided courtesy of the Southern World Assembly Initiative (SWAN), a government-affiliated program led by United States of Vietnam.

⦿ 7 September | Erinor (also known on the forum as Seraph) steps down from the Local Council and Council on Regional Security. Speaking on their decision, Councillor Erinor said that "having struggled to find the enthusiasm to check the RMB for the best part of two days and feeling pretty good for ignoring it, I'm hereby tendering my resignation from the position of Local Council. I thought I was still into doing stuff in this region, but I'm finally starting to learn that I'm not and probably never will be again. As such, I've also decided to resign as a member of the CRS. I don't feel like I bring anything that to that organisation anymore and do not particularly deserve to carry that label. I will continue to fulfill my duties as a moderator, since that seems to be something I still actually do, but it seems unlikely to me that I should be involved in any elected or appointed roles in the South Pacific in future, given that I have now resigned from or dropped out of all of my recent roles and political races."

⦿ 13 September | Minister of Defence HumanSanity Linkannounced the promotions of Lebatrip (Floptop), MilkyWay Republic (LDS), and Qvait (Jay Coop) to the rank of soldeir in the South Pacific Special Forces. In declaring the promotions, the Minister said, "All 3 of these new SPSFers joined around the same time and have progressed and learned together. Each of them bring unique skillsets and background to the table and have had to overcome their own challenges as they refined their skills as defenders. As it is, I am confident in each of their abilities and the progress they have made. Even more than that I am excited for the future each of these members have in the SPSF and am confident in all of their ability to help the SPSF reach new heights in the defense of innocent regions abroad."

⦿ 17 September | Concrete Slab is elected as a Local Councillor. This followed a vacancy left on the Local Council by the recent departure of Erinor. The new Councillor takes their seat along with the currently serving Councillors PenguinPies and Murelia.

At the time of publication, there are two proposals at vote in the World Assembly. In consultation with the Office of WA Legialtion (OWL), the Supreme Leader has cast the above votes for these respective proposals.

In the past two weeks, the Admiral Delegate General voted as follows:

'No Rec' or No Recommendation indicates a vote where, in the absence of a recommendation from the OWL, the Admiral Delegate General did not immediately cast a ballot in the World Assembly. The accompanying colour (green/red) indicates how the Supreme Leader ultimately voted in line with the majority of the South Pacific's WA Minions.
