North Freedomstani Religion

North Freedomstan, much unlike their Islamic south is a very devout and Christian
nation. The state enforced religion is a branch of Orthodox Christianity known as Freedomstani Orthodox. The Church of St. Lincoln was formed during the 1920s and has been the primary church in all of Freedomstan since. The religion was never spread to the South the same way it exploded in the North mainly due to a more traditionalist society that is located there. This division would eventually lead to the Northern war in the 1970s.

Nowadays the population remain as devout as they have always been with the leading religious figures being the president and archbishop with only those 2 being seen as having direct access to the wisdom of the almighty. Religion is enforced by law with any immigrants entering the nation being forced to convert upon arrival.
