Waldoven is a United Federation located on the planet with the same name. With a total area of approximately 1.74647×108 square kilometres, Waldoven occupies a major part of the Rosica system and includes Waldoven, Moshka, and Polshka. It is the largest country to have ever existed. The main central planet is Waldoven, the fourth planet from Rosica.

Orbiting Waldoven is the closest and largest moon, Moshka. On Moshka there are 14 colonies with a total population of 10,000. Polshka is the second and smallest moon of Waldoven. There are only 2 colonies with a total population of 58.

Geological History

Simulation of the rotation
of Proto-Waldoven

Waldoven

Early in its history, Waldoven had a rapid rotation, completing 1 revolution every hour. Together with an increased mass of about 3 times combined to the present-day led proto-Waldoven to eventually break apart. The result was Waldoven and Moshka. This led the two bodies to become tidally locked to each other. This explains the relatively fast rotation of Waldoven and Moshka, with days being 11 hours and 43 minutes long for both bodies.

Waldoven's atmosphere and oceans were formed by volcanic activity and outgassing. Water vapour from these sources condensed into the oceans, augmented by water and ice from asteroids, protoplanets, and comets. Sufficient water to fill the oceans may have been on Earth since it formed. After 2.9 billion years, Waldoven's magnetic field was established, which helped prevent the atmosphere from being stripped away by Rosican-wind. This was important for the development of future life on Waldoven.

As the molten outer layer of Waldoven cooled it formed the first solid crust, which is thought to have been mafic in composition. The first continental crust, which was more felsic in composition, formed by the partial melting of this mafic crust. New continental crust forms as a result of plate tectonics, a process ultimately driven by the continuous loss of heat from Waldoven's interior. Over the period of billions of years, tectonic forces have caused areas of continental crust to group together to form supercontinents that have subsequently broken apart.

At approximately 6 billion years ago, one of the earliest known supercontinents, Majid, began to break apart. The continents later recombined to form Pannotia 5.5 billion years ago, which broke again to eventually form Aks 4.5 billion years ago. Afterwhich Mankd was formed 3.8 billion years ago, then Ajs 2 billion years ago, then Maoya 1 billion years ago, which then split up to become the two continents Mak and Ukits. Mak and Ukits seem to be in the process of breaking apart, as seen with several hundred large-sized volcanoes propping up 500 million years ago, along with large fissures seen. These fissures are already very visible from space and are already filled with water.

Moshka
Moshka used to be apart of the greater Waldoven-protoplanet. However, the proto-planet had a rapid rotation, completing 1 revolution every hour. Together with an increased mass of about 3 times combined to present-day Waldoven, proto-Waldoven eventually broke apart. The result was Waldoven and Moshka.

Polshka
Polshka is a captured moon of Waldoven. It is highly debated whether it is either an asteroid or a major moon due to its size yet surprisingly round shape.

Physiographic regions

The geography of Waldoven varies across its immense area. Within Waldoven, 47 distinct physiographic regions exist, though each is composed of several smaller physiographic subdivisions. These major divisions are:
