The Charginian Military

The Charginian Armed Forces (Charginian: Schargeisk Krigsmakt) are the military services responsible for defending the nation of Charge Island. It was founded, in its modern sense, on December 10th, 1953. The president of Charge Island acts as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Charge Island mandates all citizens serve a period of 2 years conscription with exceptions made depending on individual circumstances.

It comprises of:
- Charginian Land Forces (approx. 787,000 active personnel, 1.4 million reserve)
- Charginian Naval Forces (approx. 550,000 active personnel, 300,000 reserve)
- Charginian Air Forces (approx. 350,000 active personnel, 150,000 reserve)

The amount of active military personnel is approximately 1,687,000. In terms of reserve forces, there is a further 1.8 million personnel, giving a total combined count of 3.4 million military personnel. This does not include conscripted personnel, as it make the true numbers fluctuate.
