ZEN-002

"'My finest creation'? That demented walking rug's about to be proven wrong." Two figures stand across from each other on an asteroid, ruins of green and black stone surrounding them.
One of them, tightly gripping his beam saber and pistol, coldly gazes at the other with lavender eyes.

"He never said that." Zeta's voice, though calm, drips with clear irritation.

Naiminxa sneers, blue light flickering around his hand. An arm cannon of sleek black and blue metal forms from his elbow down. Slate grey fur, yellow eyes, and a height of 6'4 greatly contrasts against his predecessor. With his left hand, the feline takes his main weapon off his back: A scythe with a light grey shaft and a curved blade of cyan light.

"Do I look like I care? I'm getting rid of an obsolete model either way!" Bursts of force explode from his feet, sending him towards Zeta with a sonic boom. In response, Zeta leaps backwards before pushing down the trigger for his pistol.

Orange light emanates from his body, focusing near the barrel of his weapon. When his opponent gets close to him, he releases the charge. A comet of crimson light soars towards Nai's chest, but he doesn't stop at all.

Instead, green light charges around his arm cannon. Right before he's hit, he prepares to fire-

Red static floods the android's vision, replacing the pitch black that preceded it. Glitched out numbers flicker in the corners of his eyes, but he can't focus any effort into reading them.
White hot pain, gradually fading in to replace cold numbness, makes that near impossible. Naiminxa struggles to lift his head, looking down at his body. The red static gradually begins to fade.
His body looks as if it was uncovered in a scrap heap. His battle armor is nearly torn clean off his frame, fist sized craters peppered all over him. His right arm lay a few feet away, severed clean from Nai's shoulder. His scythe lay on the floor in front of him, broken clean in half.

The feline grits his teeth, crackles of electricity flickering from his exposed wires as he struggles to sit up...only to fall back to the ground with a thud.
Silence. And a few moments later, footsteps can be heard.

"Quite a predicament. It seems the original can't be defeated so easily."

That voice...! Zen gets closer and closer to Nai, coldly staring down at him. Nothing like when he was spouting words of encouragement.
"Y...You!" The android's canine teeth crack down the middle, eyes manic with rage. Zen's only retort is to simply smile.

"I should have expected this. You had no combat experience whatsoever, while Zeta had been through years of torment. Not to mention, threatening to shoot his husband...Really, you doomed yourself. I'm surprised he didn't blow your head off the moment you were felled."

"Y...You promised me. You told me th-that he was obsolete, that I was made to surpass him! That I was your finest work!"

"And I was wrong about that. To be quite frank...you're pathetic. You'd need months' worth of experience and growth to even hold a candle to your nemesis. Experience that I'm more than happy to give you." With a flick of his hand, the Tinkerer opens up a blue portal. His smile gives way to a stern, almost ruthless frown.

"The next time you fight Zeta, you won't get back up. That's how he's always fought. And I will not interfere with that. I know when to leave a failed project behind."
Before the feline can protest, Zen's eyes lock with his own. A burst of blue light sends his mind back to the void of sleep.

Naiminxa's eyes open once more, this time free from the static and damage indicators. He's still lying down, though on something noticeably different from the crater-peppered rock of his last location.
Instead, it's a closed off facility of some kind, the walls rusted and decayed. In front of him is a large metal door, just about fallen over.
