The end of a Japanese Feudal Anarchy

After the millennia-long struggle of anarchy, the land of Gensokyo has been united under the provisional command of the The oriental regional government. This new order in Gensokyo, led by the collaboration government in the Youkai Mountain, seeks to bring Gensokyo into the future as a unified people, regardless of race, social status, religion, or political background.

The efforts to bring the once divided peoples would not have been, if it weren't for the heroic youkai and humans who laid their lives on the line for the patriotic cause of the national restoration. Led by the three sages of Gensokyo, an army of several thousand soldiers fought and marched victoriously across almost all of Gensokyo, proclaiming the restoration of the unified government which was lost in the events following the LinkSecond Genso-Lunar War. With the fall of the last radical anti-government stronghold, a new era shines upon the horizons of Gensokyo. One with peace, fraternity, brotherhood, and resilience.

The First Constitutional Convention of Gensokyo

Following the national restoration, more than twenty federal nationstates have convened in the Youkai Mountain, the provisional capital, to discuss the creation of a constitution. After several hours, a simple working draft has been submitted to the Congress of Gensokyo, and is awaiting approval by the convening nations.

This current provisional constitution has very few, but important to follow policies. This simple form of a constitution was made so that it would be flexible to later amendments. Although some officials have been concerned about the extra power granted to the central government by the constitution, the presiding council has reassured the congress that no radical actions would be taken.

Culture and Tradition

The Regional Government has placed a great emphasis on the cultural and traditional aspect of Gensokyo, the core of the region's identity. As it is more clear that all forms of culture and tradition in the Outside World have deteriorated, Gensokyo's government promises to preserve institutions dedicated to religion, culture, and tradition, while still aiming to achieve progress in the modern era.

Such efforts to preserve the pride of Gensokyo are already being seen by various volunteers, who have taken the extra step to allocate donations to places like the Myouren Temple, the Hakurei Shrine, the Moriya Shrine, and Eientei. Currently, about 20% of the economy has been associated with these institutions.
