The city was named "Crystal City" because the area had mass amounts of crystals underneath the surface and because of its crystal clear waters.

Rough Beginnings
The small town port had trouble with getting food. Food shortages were at times devastating. The port wouldn't have much action after the race for Egypt was over. Many residents of the area would have to travel to Egypt to get food and water. The town was losing residents and was soon becoming a ghost town. Until a rich man known as "Nicholas Roberto" arrived to the town by accident. He saw the desperation of the town and helped them out. He would bring them food and seeds to start farming in the area. Progress was slow and difficult but over the years the town was going towards a good direction.

New Generations
Nicholas had a son named "Thomas Roberto". Thomas would visit the town a lot upon his early childhood and played with the local children. As years passed Thomas became more interested with the local wildlife. There was vegetation everywhere. He loved the small town more than his home town back in "Sol". He would study the wildlife and flora while helping the people of the town as they were now family to him. Nicholas would become too old to help and would finally rest in the town in an area he would name as "North Palms" where he would build a large beautiful home. This would attract more of the Roberto family members to visit the town and help out. Some would even move in and build their own homes. The towns people and appearance would be impacted greatly by the arrival of the Roberto family.

The Great Booming

One of Robertos had greater dreams for the small town. His name was "Lee Roberto" He dreamed of it becoming a tourist site to the entire nation. He would make plans to a fancy hotel that would surely bring in attention. He would start construction to the hotel. He would call the Hotel "Royal Palm Hotel"

It was built successfully and it did attract a mass load of people over the small town. The people who regularly visited were more interested in the beautiful beaches than the hotel. Lee would later on capitalize on the beauty of the beaches and would set up more hotels through out the beach's coast. He would be the creator of the "Art Deco district" as its called over in Crystal City. The most famous spot on the city and still is to this day on.

Thanks to all these hotels and motels getting constructed. Many people from all over the nation started to take notice of the small town and started to move in and start businesses over in the town. As years passed many people voted for the name of the town to be changed. They didn't like the current name "New Sands". They would hold a poll deciding what named fit the town best. "Crystal City" was more liked and "Had a ring to it" as the people said. Time passed and many people started to move in the town. The town would eventually start to spread out.

The Crystal City Raiders

One nice summer evening. a wooden boat was seen at a distance, It would shortly arrive to Crystal City port. strange armed men would get off the boat and start raiding houses and hotels. The people of Crystal City couldn't do anything. The brave people who fought back were brutally killed by the men who called themselves "Sea Pacifiers". They would leave the port but would come back with even more men and more boats. Crystal City was invaded by these men for several months. The men would steal money and goods from the people. They would kill and burn down houses for pleasure. Crystal City couldn't get help from the Zolotayan government because it wasn't recognized as a great city in the nation. It was just one of those other small camps that didn't have time to spend money on. The people of Crystal City had to stand on its own.

The people of Crystal City would stealthily plan their attack to kick the raiders out of the town. Many nights some residents would travel to New Egypt to get weapons mostly rifles and pistols. They would also recruit more men to join their cause. They would hide their weapons underneath the house planks and some inside their walls. They soon started burring their weapons instead of hiding them in their homes. Many houses were burnt down and many weapons were lost in the fires. The people were ready to attack, They attacked at dawn. The raiders were dead asleep and half drunken. They started to wipe out raiders In the northern part of the town. Many raiders were killed. The raiders in the south of the city heard all the commotion and got ready with their weapons. The residents of crystal city would move quickly into the south part of the town, wiping out raiders. They got themselves in a standoff, they were exchanging bullets for at least 12 minutes. Many men were getting killed from both sides. The residents of the town got the upper hand when they flanked the raiders and successfully broke the standoff. They moved up to the shore. The raiders started to retreat into their ships. But it wasn't any use. The residents killed every single man in their ships. The people would then start to use the cannons on the ships to take down incoming raider ships.

The raiders and towns men fought for a while shooting each other with their rifles and cannons at each other. The raiders would eventually lose and retreat never to be seen or heard from again. It was a Victorious win for the people of Crystal City. They celebrated for many nights. Many of the sunken raider boats still remain under the coasts and sea of Crystal City. They can be visited on local museums.
