Political Map of Ersetum (Age of Cores, Year 200)

Political Map of Ersetum

The Political Map of Ersetum is the primary source to reference the state of every nation. From this factbook you can see where every nation is located on every layer, by which they will be seperated but still interact in the roleplay, and have access to even more extended details on a surface level. The map is an integral part of the roleplay, as it is our point of reference to understand our world. For reference on scale, the world which we reside on in Ersetum is roughly 40,000 kilometers in circumference. In length of pixels, this roughly comes out as every one pixel being roughly 13km in length (169kmsq). In regards to rivers, they are considered exaggerated on the map, as in highlighted to appear more visibly present. River pixels are not on the same rule of 13km, as this would make river width absurd. As such, river pixels between two banks (the black outline) are considered to be 1 to 2 km. When looking at this map, do be mindful of the rules, systems and state of affairs in the region. This is the stage from which you make both friends and enemies, and it is good to be mindful of which you seek. That being said, there are some good key points to remember when it comes to the map; a small set of key rules which will be mentioned here.

1. Map expansion cap is 250 provinces, starting at 25. You may begin colonialism at a max range of unobstructed 800 pixels once you reach 80 provinces in size.
2. You have contact with all nations who wish to have it with you.
3. In regards to your claim, you are allowed to relocating sparingly. You may relocate, with your total claim count, once. Any further relocations on the map will require you to start at the default spawn size.
4. In regards to your resources, you have access to only what is within your lands and/or what you are trading.
5. Time passes at a rate of 1 Year = 1 Month IRL. You shall have the chance to expand four times in an IRL month, as every week the map is updated Sunday Evening PST.
6. When the map is updated, statistics such as your total population and Right to Rule are updated. It is your duty to update your spreadsheets.
7. Right to Rule refers to your AFK timer. If you are AFK for one month, you lose your Right to Rule, and any nation which wishes to expand into your land or new player who claims it may do so. This is done by the standard procedures or expansion and claiming. You may reverse this at any time, but will not have any land lost returned to you. You may request a vacation timer if real life takes priority, the time of which is negotiable with the founder.
8. You may colonize other layers in accordance to their rules, such as using Gateways to access them.

By this simple introduction to the map you should be able to understand and handle things from here. You can tell nations part not only by layer but by color. Every color code is distinct, though the differences will be more subtle than others between them.
