Tale of the Seven Hydras

Tale of the Seven Hydras

Long, long, ago, there were seven Hydras that ruled the land.
For these mighty scaled dragons watched over our very existence
For their names are long remembered to this day by our citizens
Lakas, Mokar, Khiekra, Sovar, Separ, Takye and lastly Kaland.

Lakas, the Wise, watches over us with his great, expansive mind.
Mokar, the Mighty, protects is with his might and deterrence.
Khiekra, the Fertile, makes sure our young live well with persistence.
Sovar, the Industrious, keeps us strong to work from days on end.

Separ, the Innocent, grants us the wits we use to judge our kind.
Takye, the Intelligent, nurtures us so that we crave the sciences.
Kaland, the All-Knowing, fathers all, we heed to his benevolence.
These are the seven beings that guide our nation until time's end.

Why do we exist? You ask. For this tale shall explain everything.
In an ancient time, where the lands are empty and worlds barren,
No life existed, as this hostile world was under the demon's wing.
But all changed when mighty comets fell from the sky in numbers of ten.

The first comet strikes the grasslands. Humanity rises while it opens.
The second comet strikes the mountains. And thus, we have risen.
The other comets possess fates worse than death. For this is the demon's doing.
And thus, the seven hydras are determined to protect us from the evils.

However, the seven hydras argued who should guide who.
Khiekra, Sovar, and Takye chose to rule us Accipitrids.
Lakas, Mokar, and Separ chose to rule the Humans.
Kaland, being the All-Knowing, knows this would kill us two.

For our own good and our wellbeing, he dispelled the six.
Divided and filled with animosity, they taught us to hate the other.
Millenias of war and violence have followed, billions of souls, lost.

In this modern day, we inherit the powers of Khiekra, Sovar and Takye.
But our aggression against humanity has been dwindling overtime.
But who knows? What could the future hold for our kind?
