1. NationStates Statistics

Population - Your population will be determined as it is. Policies DO NOT affect this aspect.

Nations that measure below or at 50 million: Stay at a constant 5 million
Nations that measure 51 million to 15 billion: Abide by the multiplication rule (0.1 x your population)
Nations that measure above 15 billion: Stay at a constant 1.5 billion

Economy - Your economy will be determined as it is. Policies do affect this aspect.

Divide your economic output by another's. This will give their currency in yours.
For example,
Nation 1's (you) economic output is 10 billion currencies. Nation 2's economic output is 20 billion currencies.
Conversion: Divide 10 by 20 = 0.5
The exchange rate between Nation 1 and Nation 2 is on a 1:2 ratio. This makes 1 of your currencies equal to 2 of their currencies.

Defense Forces - Your military showing will be determined as it is in your rankings. The concept of war bearing will be attached to each military classification. Policies do affect this aspect.
Side Note: You are able to militarize a quarter of your law enforcement points (transfer them as defense forces points). However, this will result in a rise of your crime rate by a quarter of your current one.

Side Notes: You are able to militarize a quarter of your law enforcement in the RP (adds points to defense forces). However, it will result in your crime rate increasing by twofold, regardless of your actual crime showing.
0 to 1,000: Protectorate
Military doesn't figure in the nation's economy. It is dependent on others for even the most basic protection (like Coast Guard). Somewhat stable.
War Bearing: None. The protector nation will determine if this nation will be involved, however.

1,001 to 3,000: Struggler
Barely able to defend oneself. Difficult to contain rebellions or militant groups. Highly unstable.
War Bearing: Very low. This classification is easy to overpower.

3,001 to 6,500: Contender
A rising nation. Usually engaged in arms races, their military is in the nascent stages. Nations have to choose between exerting influence or self defence. Unstable.
War Bearing: Low. This classification is mainly vulnerable.

6,501 to 8,000: Enforcer
Developed military. Good defense capabilities. It is capable of using its military to further its goals internationally. Somewhat stable.
War Bearing: Moderate. This classification is can withstand attacks, but recovery takes time. Vulnerable to consecutive warring.

8,001 to 12,000: Protector
Powerful military with much to spare after self-defense. Engage in alliances and have protectorates to increase their influence. Stable.
War Bearing: Decent. This classification can defend and attack simultaneously. Multiple conflicts will destabilize this classification however.

12,001 to 18,000: Warlord
Very powerful military. Fearless nation. Militarily self-sufficient. Stable. Frequent wars may cause rebellions.
War Bearing: High. Can engage multiple nations simultaneously. Prolonged multi-front wars can weaken it.

18,001 to 25,000: Dominator
Extremely Powerful Military. Arms based economy. Frequently uses military internationally. Extremely stable.
War Bearing: Very high. This classification must withstand multiple conflicts at once.

25,001 and more: Juggernaut
Unstoppable. Militaristic society. Has presence throughout the world. Frequently uses brute force. Almost invulnerable.
War Bearing: Extremely high. Multiple simultaneous wars barely affect this classification.

If your nation has a national policy of conscription, then we will assume that at least ~20% of your population is in service. You must clarify the criteria of conscription and your policy on reserve forces in the RP. Ideally, if your population is relatively healthy (Health rank), then you may have up to 40% of your population in service. Again, your numbers are determined by your conscription outline in RP.

Scientific Advancement - Your scientific advancement will be determined as it is. "Sciad" also affects the social environment of your sovereign state due to technological advances. Please shift social setting accordingly. Policies do affect this aspect.
Side Note: These classifications will change according to the time period.

0 to 50: Second Industrial Revolution (pre-1914)
51-75: World War I (1914-1918)
101 to 200: "Tier I" Interwar Technology (1919-1928)
201 to 300: "Tier II" Interwar Technology (1928-1938)
301-600: World War II (1939-1945)
601 to 800: Undetermined and capped

Influence - Your NS influence stats will be counted until you reach 10 million population in the RP (100 million in NS for measure). Influence will determine how vast you can set up diplomatic connections and your involvement in other nations' politics.

Negative to 0: Immediate area
1 to 20: ?
26 to 50: ?

Human Development Index - Your HDI will be determined as it is. HDI determines the conditions of your citizens in terms of various indicators. It will be considered alongside Scientific Classifications as evidence of a nation's domestic capabilities. Policies do affect this aspect.

Negative to 30: horrifyingly impoverished conditions
31 to 55: industrializing, OK conditions
66 to 85: close-to-ideal conditions
86 to 100: idealistic conditions

Other Characteristics

Government Type - One can adopt any government type that they want, irrespective of whether it is available in NS as a classification; but the NS classification should be close. For instance an "Inoffensive Centrist Democracy" in NS can't call itself an Absolute Monarchy in the RP. One can have any pretitle one wants, unless it explicitly contradicts your government form. Anyone choosing a unique &/or self designed government system must describe it accurately in a national development or as nation lore in the Discord (highly recommend you also post it in a factbook. This should also (at least) loosely be relevant to the NS classification. In short, one should attempt issues such that you form the government as per what you have chosen to adopt.

Geography, Climate, Location - These factors should be coordinated with the cartographers' map designs. Recommended to write extensively about your jurisdiction's natural areas as geography immensely dictates your current policies and rankings in NS.

Guidelines for the BAICS RP guidelines have been derived from The RMB Roleplay Guidebook by Samasbhi.
