NOTING the power vested in the executive.
NOTICING that understanding the actions of the executive is critical to have an informed citizenry.
CONSIDERING that some information would threaten the security of the region.
HEREBY...
Establishes the Ministerial Info Session, in which the Prime Minister briefs the senate and the region on activities of the executive branch
The Ministerial Info Session must happen at least once a month, and at least 14 days after the inauguration of the Prime Minister
The Ministerial Info Session can happen more than once a month at the discretion of the Prime Minister
The Prime Minister not disclosing government actions that are unclassified is grounds for removal
Following the Ministerial Info Session, citizens shall be able to ask any questions of the Prime Minister
The Prime Minister must answer all questions unless they are struck null by the speaker of the senate or classified, as defined in this bill
The Speaker of the Senate will rule over the Ministerial Queries and can strike questions null if they are repetitive, disrespectful, or irrelevant.
The queries
The Senate may call for private queries to discuss information that is classified to the general citizenry but is unclassified to the Senate.
The Prime Minister, along with relevant ministers may ask the Inquisition to classify information that may harm either the security or the effectiveness of governance.
The Inquisition can classify, declassify, or reclassify information at any time.
The Inquisition may also classify information to the citizenry but not to the Senate or other members of the Ascenthian government.
