We believe that the powers of the Kaiser should be limited. The limitation of the Kaiser’s powers would encourage elected executive leaders to take charge of the region to better reflect it according to the will of the citizenry.

The Imperial Reformist Union believes that the powers of the Chancellor (Kanzler) should be expanded upon in order to reflect leadership from popular sovereignty, and as a result, reflect the wishes of the citizenry instead of the old guard. This includes being bestowed the rank and title of Generalissimo of any armed forces within the Empire, veto legislation, and have the ability to create Executive Orders.

The Imperial Reformist Union wishes to reduce the power of the nobility and their influence in the upper echelons of government. This includes the removal of landed fiefs/colonies, the relegation of nobility to an aesthetic title, and the abolition of the Privy Council.

The Imperial Reformist Union wishes to support a greater focus on recruitment and integration, both on joining the region and entering the regional community. This would entail the expansion of duties by the Ministry of Integration, or its equivalent, and the promotion of bureaucratic jobs within the government.

The Imperial Reformist Union supports general reform on the Imperial Legislature. This ranges from the general abolition of the Reichstag in favor of the expansion of the Reichssenat, to the sole expansion of the Reichssenat.

The Imperial Reformist Union wishes to empower the Reichsenat in order to create a system of checks and balances in the government. This entails the bestowing the powers of the veto and of the vote of no confidence.

The Imperial Reformist Union supports a party-based legislative system instead of individual-based. This is in order to cultivate a strong political culture and following within the region, along with the ability to make fast fellows with fellow like-minded citizens and easier to become involved within the region.

The Imperial Reformist Union is satisfied with the levels of interaction between the judiciary and the larger region and supports the current judicial status quo.

The Imperial Reformist Union strongly supports cultural events and institutions, such as festivals and roleplay, in order to boost and enrich the region’s culture.

The Imperial Reformist Union supports the expansion of Hartfelden’s diplomatic sphere. This expansion should not only include the promotion of Hartfelden interests but also engage in outreach with smaller regions, in order to provide support for smaller communities.

The Imperial Reformist Union strongly supports the creation of treaties, pacts, and alliances with like-minded regions. This is in order to strengthen the bonds and influence of Hartfelden abroad, as well as mutually benefiting both parties. It is, however, strongly against any sort of interregional federalization that would undermine its Imperial authority.

The Imperial Reformist Union believes that the colonies, protectorates, and similar dominions of Hartfelden should have reasonably moderate to high levels of autonomy. This entails self-governance under the yolk of the Imperial Government and the Imperial Law. The Union also wishes to have a Ministry equivalent to Colonial Affairs to be a standard within the executive government, which would be bestowed with the responsibilities of colonial administration for the territories of Hartfelden.

The Imperial Reformist Union does not support the aggressive or general expansion of the territories of Hartfelden at the time of the creation of this manifesto.

The Imperial Reformist Union strongly supports the defender-aligned Imperial Armed Forces. This heavy support for the Armed Forces includes the emphasis on recruitment for the military, anti-fascist action, anti-raider action, and the general defense of Hartfelden.
